Many thanks for stopping by and reading the thread and also spending time commenting.
We appreciate ANY feedback, whether this be good, or bad.
We shall try and answer as many question as we can that have already been asked.. We shall start by answering the questions bought forward by Tunnidge, as we feel this will answer the majority of questions you all have.
"Hello, are you able to expand a bit on who you are/your involvement in the scene?" & "I'm sure some history and applicable accolades would alleviate some of the concern people would feel about your proposed event."
--Of course! - The DMA's are made of 5 very experienced promoters and music business owners. Between us, we have over 40 years of experience in running/organising events within various different genres, right across the UK. Each 'partner' brings their own feel to the awards and their own expertise. One of the 'partners' organising the DMAs is also the organiser for The Drum and Bass Awards, held in Birmingham (currently) which attracts thousands of people across the UK, yearly. The DnB Awards have been running for over 5 years and they have a GREAT following! We're hoping and are also confident to match the success with the DMAs and to go beyond the success of the DnB Awards. Another event that is run by one of our organisers is the UK renound, 'Hype' event. Holding sell out events in Birmingham and other areas around the UK. We also have the Raveology crew involved. Everyone involved in making the DMAs happen are very respected in what they do and have great relationships with the agencies, DJs and other businesses related to Dubstep. Heck, we even help the festivals organise their Dubstep acts in some cases. In relation to knowing the scene, all of the organisers have been organising Dubstep events for over 5 years, within various cities. With this in mind, we can assure you that we've played host to every aspect of the genre, whether it be the more melodic stuff to the 'brostep' end... From being very avid fans of the genre, I can assure you that we know the difference between the sub genres and that ALL sub genres will be catered for at the DMAs.
We feel very confident in what we do and how we do it. Please feel free to e-mail: info@dubstepmusicawards.co.uk for further information on the organisers..
Hopefully that snippet up there shows you a little bit about us and that we do.

"At this point the sceptical among us would view you as yet another organization /individual seeing the scene as a cash making enterprise, rather than a worthwhile well established organization /individual looking to reward Dubstep's noteworthy contributors."
--This is not the case at all. Everyone involved is VERY passionate about the genre and one 'partner' has even devoted 4 years to working in events for FREE, just to help spread Dubstep to his city. We are aware that although money can be made from such a venture, that creating the awards with the view of 'cashing in' will never create the atmosphere and buzz that we want the awards to create. Passion makes music and we believe this is the case for events too. Therefore, we are building this event from our hearts and not our wallets. It's down to you to come along to the awards and see that we're celebrating the genre and not celebrating the English currency.
Please note: Our website is currently going through construction to allow for voting etc.. Hence why, currently, we only have the default holding page available. More information will be announced shortly on here, the facebook fan page and most importantly the website.

I hope this helps answer some questions that have been posed by you lovely people! - Unfortunatly, until you see the DMAs in the flesh, you're just going to have to believe us.

One final thing, to cut out all the 'brostep' nonsense, my (the person writing this) favourite element of the genre is the more melodic sounds of Dubstep.. So please do not think that the awards is for 'brostep' only.. Yes it will feature a role as will every sub genre but the DMAs are here to celebrate EVERY aspect of the genre and we can assure you that the last thing we want is a 'brostep' awards.
Many thanks for reading. We shall answer your questions as quickly as possible.
