the bloodlines thing is pretty easy to corroborate

sure it is, but having some super sinister quote that's custom fitted to a number of causes and implies that it's from the horses mouth is MISinformation. it's a bloodline, it's not some guy with a curly moustache laughing at peons and taunting them by claiming to be their master

what is there to consider?
i still don't get what their demands are, and how they intend to achieve them.
i've watched a few of the vids on their site and read everything there, but it's all very vague. the vids are just people wandering around looking at nicknacks, filming each other and playing drums.

for example, in ukraine the government wants to extend the retirement age, and cut the pensions of afghan war veterans and the liquidators who cleaned up chernobyl.
as a result the vets and liquidators decided to demand that the government change its mind. last weekend they gathered outside parliament in thousands and tried to storm it to deliver their demands. they reached the doors, making the politicians understand the depth of feeling. this caused the government to change the law being drafted.

this is also going unreported, but they don't care. it's about getting their rights, not looking cool and 'rebelious'

See, this is the problem, and the main reason I have trouble taking this sort of shit seriously. It's like the hippy episode of South Park. They all gather together, smoke weed, bang drums, listen to music...then when Kyle & Stan suggest doing something worthwhile to actually change things, the hippies nod and agree, then go back to smoking weed, banging drums, listening to music...

right now there are a group of hipsters discussing an amendment to their website about their community theatre and how the directors don't care about actors. they're voting on whether or not to support it. i kid you not.

Really it's gotten a decent amount of media coverage, I just read a piece in the huffpost about it and it's made the rounds on msnbc. The reason it doesn't have more coverage is because it's an embarrassing testament to american democracy and lacks any direction whatsoever.

i live in a country where there was a popular uprising that changed the result of a fixed election. they had clear grievances and aims, rallied popular support from across the whole population, gathered in hundreds of thousands in the winter, and changed the government.

the police and army changed sides to support them, and people were willing to fight and die for it. it was an amazing time to be here, and it makes you understand how you can achieve something if you have a clear agenda and popular support.

i repeat my earlier question, because i would genuinely like to know.
what is the aim of the occupy wall street protest? how will they achieve it?
