I get you, not very sensitively worded perhaps, but yeah. I guess with people making an effort to make people aware of things like depression it can become very easy for people to just think "well I'm sad, I guess I'm depressed" and just accept that.

I force myself to work out. Weight training 3 times per week, plus high intensity interval training 3 more days. I don't talk about it or whine about it. I force myself to go to bed at 11 and get up and 9 and have breakfast. Despite my 3 hours of sleep every night. And you won't find anyone with a better, healthier, more balanced diet than me.

'Just going on and not being a pussy' and 'doing things to keep your mind off it' doesn't work. That's sadness, not depression.

And yes, this is a semi-anonymous outlet for admitting it, verbalizing it, venting about it, without fear of embarrassment/backlash IRL

ffs im sick of people not getting how depression works and thinking someone can simply snap out of it, it doesn't work like that....ask a professional

i am usually on an even keel but have had a month or so back fucking dark bleak times, i didn't snap out of it....i just got out of it as i was able to but i will have a time like that again

anyone talking about depression like something people are putting on due to not getting a good job etc dont get it....and have never experienced it themselves, dont get me wrong with some people the best thing you can do is make suggestions to help them with solutions that are practical but jesus christ dont be so fucking arrogant and assured that YOU KNOW whats going on in someones head....lets see if you still think that when you have a sudden panic attack and hit rock bottom...everything is relative....if it was all to do with situation nobody would ever get depressed in the west as were in the top 5 percent of the worlds wealth...but it isnt to do with that...its chemicals mixed with the subconcious fucking us over
