Also +1 on Sandwell District. Saw them live -just before Collabs- last summer, was a great set.

Going to ILoveTechno this weekend :( not a great line-up for someone who loves techno...
But I'm seeing Psycatron, Carl Craig and TEED so it's gonna be great nonetheless.

Check out Jon Gaiser too. He has a lot of great tracks, mainly on the minimal side.

Deepchord are great imo, but I get what you mean about being boring.
Their current live shows are excellent if you get a chance to catch them, polar opposite to what you'd expect.
