Re: The Juke/Footwork Production Thread
This is one of the first songs i've ever actually finished haha. I don't have monitors or anything so let me know if any of my levels are real far off.

this is the most fun frame of sounds to produce within
Re: The Juke/Footwork Production Thread
srsly need an mpc to make juke
Re: The Juke/Footwork Production Thread
You'd be surprised how many use old versions of FL lol
Re: The Juke/Footwork Production Thread

Re: The Juke/Footwork Production Thread
It varies a lot some use MPCs and rarely use DAWs, some use NI Maschine, some use Ableton, some FL. I've actually got a lot of tracks from Chicago heads still with the FL ID3 tag haha. Like any other genre it doesn't really matter what you use, just what you're used to.
There's some vids around of Nate working in FL, trying to track them down but he's mostly doing his hip hop project now. Then here's Boylan on a newer MPC.

used to absolutely despise this type of music when people first started playing it over here but now i can't get enough of it, one of the best styles i've discovered in years. most fun music i've heard in ages.
i agree about the drums though, i can never get them sounding just right

Re: The Juke/Footwork Production Thread
this is nice.
I like to imply the drum rhythm for the most part and use a lot of quick fills to spice up that implied rhythmcrunkedxup wrote:used to absolutely despise this type of music when people first started playing it over here but now i can't get enough of it, one of the best styles i've discovered in years. most fun music i've heard in ages.

Reminds me quite a bit of Erotic Heat, that new Untold tune.
