Follow direction of the hairs growth, but I rarely shave wet anyways.

i used to shave up & down

up for anything under the jawline, and down for anything above

but then i purchased an electric beard trimmer, gives me the perfect amount of stubble

if im feeling rich though ill head to the barber to get it done properly with a straight razor ...THE PERFECT SHAVE!

I wish there was a barber close by to shave me. I would do that once a week

It means post operation?

I can see where that could be confused with forum terms.

Lazy man (electric) razor all the way. Though I haven't shaved in about 3 weeks now and look like a waster

Any stubble is a no-no where I work. I have a well-groomed beard so the only thing I have to shave is my neck and higher cheek. on my neck I always go with the hair for the first stroke, then reapply some of the shaving cream and lightly go against the grain. I always do it after I shower as the heat helps open up the pores and you can get a better shave (or so I've read). Then I use nivea for men aftershave. It's cheap and has mosturizing lotion without a ton of alcohol so it won't dry out your skin. I've never had a problem with ingrown hairs after I started using it.

strangely enough, in london/ the city of london (fiancial district, bankers etc) stubble is pretty much universally accepted/ common nowdays. used to be big no no tho

its true
i also like to clean my face thoroughly before a shave.. then directly after i hit it with aftershave. then after a moment , cold ass water (to close back up my pores) and then the nivea post-shave balm, for smoothness and irritation relief 8)
