Yeah, I've never been able to get down with Yungun...find his flow too 'sing-songy', if that makes sense.
Makes a difference from all the skinny white fella's tryna put on a london accent though.

I like yungun, he's straightforward, chats sense on subjects that most can relate to. There's intricacy in his simplicity.

His singing on Silent Mobius is good though

Harry ruins hip hop with that beat, and even tommy evans comes nice
Yeah that tune's the exception to my dislike of both Yungun and Tommy Evans.

p.s. @ Thomas... are you the same Thomas as the one on UKHH.com?

City Breaks is a very deep one too. And 10 Yat Commandments is sick! He's just a class MC imo, although i never got round to his LP

Skinnyman's album flopped it but he is sick!... that verse on Twilight of the Gods is too much. very many deep verses

as for best UKHH, its too hard to be honest... too many greats

Yeah Braintax Panorama and Taskforce MFTC4 are both well worth a purchase!

I dunno, I know what Corpse means. I'm a big Skinny fan, since the Mud Fam days, but I've seen him 5 or 6 times and the lectures/poetry can get a bit much. Plus he does the same 2 or 3 rants each time.

I'm fully behind most of what he says and respect him for supporting WaterAid...BUT there seems to be a bit of an inconsistency with what he says and the fact that he's always wearing brand new Nikes, Avirex etc and he admits that he never wears the same clothes more than twice. Its cool for him to do that, but then its a bit rich for him to lecture me about poverty and fair trade

But still...Skinnyman's a badman.

Still haven't heard it!

Never really got into buying UKHH CDs, always vinyl. So
when I stopped mixing it I kinda dropped off altogether
Last thing I bought was Nuke Proof Suit by Jehst, which
disappointed me quite a lot. Oh yeah, apart from Tussle
by Klash - which also disappointed me quite a lot :D But
yeah, need those albums! Will have to get myself down
to Berwick Street when I've got more time on my hands

Oh yeah, by the way, another UKHH act I seriously rate
are Nine High. Top blokes as well.. anyone know if their
album's dropped yet? Well outta touch. Will def have to
buy that one if so, support the up & comers an' all that!

Yeah I was disappointed by both those albums as well. Jehst choosing to self produce the whole of Nuke Proof wasn't a good move. I thought some of Joe Buhdha's beats on Tussle were a bit of a let down as well (and Klash brought very little new, lyically).

Same sort of story with Skinny's album really. I think he made a mistake only getting DJ Flip to produce one of the beats. The new beat Baby J did for 'Fuck the Hook' was nothing on the original either.
