Im just a frustrated sennheiser fan. i love the things i really do. but ive gone through 3 sets of cheaper sennheisers, each only lasting 1-2 months. the cx300 ear buds i bought only lasted 2 facking weeks  . I really hope that the hd-25 isnt the same case

Low end sennheisers are crap by any standards for the most part though.

Dark dubstep, fair amount of unsigned/amateur tracks from the forums too.

what are you doing to the poor things??

I`ve had 202s for 6 years.
DJed at hundreds of parties and let loads of other Djs use them.
I`ve got cx300 ii, and they`ve lasted for 7 months without an issue.
I`ve even dropped them into my cup of coffee and they worked after just shaking them to get the coffee out.

i swear im extremely careful with my phones. it always ends the same way, cutting out in one ear. i started to think that it was the tight pockets in my skinny jeans (not girl pants motherfuckers) so i was even able to put my ipod in my pocket anymore and even that didnt help. even my ipod finally came to the same fate and the auxiliary input only plays out of one ear (brought it to the apple store and they said that id have to buy a whole new ipod and they couldnt fix it, fucking pos company. but they offered to give me like 10% off my purchase of a brand new one if i recycled my perfect good ipod, thanks assholes).

Unless i'm understanding you wrong, the bit you plug your headphones into is fucked right?

It's happened to me many times, you can replace the jack plug. Buy the part on ebay for like £10. If you've got an older ipod it's super easy, newer ipods are a bitch to get into and you may end up bending the case a bit, but if you're careful it's not too bad. Once you've got it open it's super easy to replace the headphone jack plug. Give it a quick google.

Had to do the same to my ipod a few months ago, sounds as good as new now!

they are quite heavy and can become uncomfortable when wearing them for extended periods of time.

Doesn't using the LOD mean that you bypass the DAC on the ipod? I thought the LO was still digital

LO is digital, but i dont know what your asking here. whats a DAC? But what i was saying is i could do a permanent fix and risk fucking up my working ipod for good (it still plays outta 1 ear), or i can just buy a LOD to 3.5mm and a 3.5mm female to female coupler. Downside to that is having a bit mess hanging off my ipod all the time but i can avoid opening up the ipod and soldering shit. I think LOD is the way to go
