That PRSPCT line-up is great and all, but it's gotten so predictable. All their parties are the same.

agreed I've seen all of those names so many times (though not necessarily recently). Contemplating seeing Sickboy this Friday in Antwerp, but last time I saw him (live) was so underwhelming... made some good records though, that's for sure.Genevieve wrote:That PRSPCT line-up is great and all, but it's gotten so predictable. Re: breakcore/noise/other
The upcoming Section 18/DMT line up is fairly intense too;

I miss the Smackdown parties, now that shit was quality. You'd have all the awesome shit that everyone books like Hellfish, Fury and the whole Deathchant/Pacemaker crew, AND some good shit like Neurocore and other Hangars Liquides shit, breakcore or even some badass dubstep shit like Jamie Vex'd or Boxcutter.
I miss that shit.

Guess it's totally different for you, living in NL and all. As you can see up there though, a lot of those names have still never even made it to the UK. On the other hand, I see acts from Life4land, Blockdodger, Jakub23 etc all the fucking time.
Agro has put on some serious varied nights;

Still can't believe I missed this one
Thread needs sticky.

Re: breakcore/noise/other
Meh fair point. Like, I'm used to being in NL and only getting the lame ass shit so I have no idea how lucky I am when it comes to hardcore parties. Gancher probably plays here every weekend haha. Can't believe he's getting his ass to the UK just now.

Re: breakcore/noise/other
way too much crossbreed/hardcore in this thread. no offence
also, i hope the new bong-ra album won't be similar to newer prspct stuff. didn't like the bong-ra/limewax/thrasher thing at all. they were booked to play here with black sun empire, but bse couldn't make it. so i didn't go.
therapy sessions are shitty too. promoters here keep bringing audio every god damn year.

Yup, Dour festival as well, again AUDIO, LIMEWAX and COUNTERSTRIKE and THE PANACEA. I mean, I'd rather go watch them than spend my time in the Circus label tent which is on at the same night, but I hardly call any of those names fresh. Seen 'em so many times....
Fortunately, a little birdie told me that Enduser will also make another appearance, and though I've seen him a fair few times, he actually plays breaks. So that would make up for a lot.

Anybody got more some more ambient glitchy stuff? Stuff along the lines of some Flashbulb tracks, and Frog Pocket. Complex home listening tunes. Also, some more wonky and skwee tunes like Montgomer Clunk/ Kuedo/ Jamie Vex'd/ Slugabed. I know they aren't breakcore, but whatever.

dfaultuzr, those are great tunes. I only really glanced over Kettel, dont know why i never looked into him too much. Will do now.
And i need to move to Bristol, seems like thats where the breakcore and techy dnb shit resides.
Some tasty drone and ambient:
Yes, that's the ticket.
Also, one of my favourite modern classical/ambient/beautiful/who cares pieces (by the same group). Not too relevant to the thread but fuck it:
Soundcloud
And how have we made it this far in the thread without some ragga-jungle shit?

I just never understood the appeal of Audio. Warehouse was massive back in the day, but thats it for me, so much of his stuff just sounds the same. Counterstrike's recent production has been disappointing, still think their Wardance EP on Moving Shadow is their best work. Limewax im still digging, and Enduser is off the chart amazing. Bollywood Breaks and Even Weight are 2 of my fav. releases from Ad Noiseam (Cdatakill also massive on that label).

Re: breakcore/noise/other
anyone know some good breakcore mixes ?
It's about dropping a track at the wrong speed, and it sounding better than the real thing.

^ That's cool, ADN are my favourite label. Saw that this morning. Also, new Larvae release next week, excited about that.
^^ I honestly dont know any.
And I was looking at Dev/Null's facebook page and a few weeks ago he was on sub.fm! I immediately went to see what sort of things he would be playing on the station... it was just juke!

Dont really know how to link the streamable version.
