Re: price and stuff.

Its no wonder I haven't really played any new AAA titles since Dark Souls and before that it was Mass Effect 2 or Mortal Kombat (which ever came after) apart from just buying SSX (which is shite btw haha!).

I feel sorry for consoles not having things like GoG, Steam, Impulse and Desura; you can support indie/non huge devs by playing their amazing games (often times more satisfying/enjoyable than the huge titles) at a reasonable price with the option of keeping the exes/burning rars to a dvd disc. Even then though; you can pick up a new PC game for MUCH cheaper off amazon than on steam or impulse (Desura is only for indie titles and GoG is for old classic games) which is shocking but the selection of non-new releases is impeccable.

I hope the whole "apps" thing takes off in the next gen of consoles and we can get apps by anyone and not just people who Microsoft ask to make a app (like you get on the Iphone and that) so we CAN get steam and things like that and install games from their apps. It won't happen but I wish it could.

Birmingham, Solihull and the worst of the worst, Coventry,

To be fair, nothing wrong with the Birmingham one, just not a lot to choose from.

Went to trade in my DS at the Solihull one, i was 15. You had to be 16 and the guy basically publicly humiliated me for not finding out more.

Spent years tracking down a copy of MGS3: Subsistence because its out of print and fetched like £80 on ebay and the like. Finally found one at the Cov one and you couldn't ring up because the company closed down its phone service! Sent them an e-mail and they never responded. I just decided to risk it and travel from Brum to Cov and it was there. On the shelf. I grabbed, shaking in anticipation. I daydreamed about playing the game from whole new camera angles, spending hours watching unedited cut scenes. The hunt was finally over.

Got the counter and I half-jokingly said "i bet they dont have it" and the little emo girl couldn't find it. Fair play to her because she said she would look for it and come back in an hour. Didn't find it and she said "things go missing all the time".

Plus they rape you on buy prices and sell markups.

PS I eventually found an online rental service for games, they had it. Banged it out in two days and got my money back. Standard.
