So get your first in the books now (if you are feeling confident about your music, it will be around forever now, which is pretty cool)... Just because he didnt aqct incredibly formal with you doesnt mean your going to get royally fucked over, lol, just be cautious of what you do, like you would anything else involving your name and rep.
LOL
?

I have fully heard of a few artists on that label, seems legit so what the fuck is funny?

this, it will be a massive confidence boost to ur production skills. but please for the love of god get someone decent to read the contract over, like a lawyer who was a friend at uni or something, they will happily do it for free, parents dont count lol.

getting ur first release under ur belt is like losing ur virginity, u can lose it to some cheap slag and be satisfied but not dramatically unchanged by the event

or

save urself till ur skills are tight and the right label(s) come along, u may end up waiting the rest of ur lifetime but when it happens u never forget it.

up to u...

Seems legit.

Just tugging your meat whistle. I suggest you ask to see the contract first before you hand any of your music over to them. Even if they are legitimate, which I'm seriously doubting (I've been where you are now), you may not find the terms of the contract to your liking. Once they have your music, they can pretty much do whatever-the-hell they like with it. I'd suggest joining the musicians union before you sign any of your music over to anyone. Its £6 a year and membership entitles you to legal aid involving music.
