Similar to that Joy-O/Boddika thread I remember the fake Burial one. Theif I think it was called. I think it's a really good tune, no problem with that, so did a lot of people until they realised it wasn't Burial and thought it was shit.

I love lots of music from the 60s/70s, but I never understood the hype around The Beatles. Never heard anything I particularly liked. I wouldn't say it's poorly mixed though. I wish I could get mixes to sound like it was from that era.
I just think they put their heart and soul into making incredible music. Granted towards the end they hated each other and it didn't mean nearly as much to them when abbey road came out as when help came out, but some of the work they did in the heart of their reign brought some great melodies. A lot of the stuff from rubber soul was really musically complex.

Another thing to me is that none of them were trying to showcase themselves like a lot of bands in the day, like the who or hendrix. They were much more focused on the big picture, on the band as a whole. Which is one of the reasons why so many people think ringo star is a terrible drummer, because you never really hear him play very complicated rithyms, because they were always more focused on the group and or the music as a whole. That's why I have the utmost respect and love for the beatles.

In regards to elvis, I have respect for what he, or at least his image did for rock and roll, but aside from that I hate his music. Same with cash and dylan. I have tremendous respect for them, but I don't care for much of their music; so I defenitly see where you're coming from.

Same thing happened with Zomby and Natalia's Song recently. Except it was Zomby who stole the loop from some Russian dude, I think. Don't quote me on that though.

Zeds Dead- Want you (LMFAO remix) pretending to be Zeds Dead

Of coarse you are going to get views of fans that like zeds dead, and hey maybe some of the fans like the song....... But that does not mean that they made

Zeds dead white satin, eyes on fire, or any of the other songs people liked
And maybe those people liked those songs so much that they remembered Zeds dead

Which is why that Faker got views in the first place.
Wow. I actually thought White Satin was very cleverly done.
160 bpm roller - for all the skankas.

I like it to,

What i am saying is that nobody knows, Zeds Dead, Rusko, Datsik, ect. (dont burn me for the examples)
without there Bangers that made you stop and think. "Maybe i should check out some other songs", " Maybe i should go see this person live", "Maybe i should buy this album/EP".

Without a good song you get none of those thoughts. Wtf is Zeds Dead, Rusko, Datsik, ect without good music and people following them.

Hell yeah, some songs are not as good as others, and we are the deciders of that. But if

1. I like the music XXXXXX artist is putting out
2. I am following up on what this artist is putting out

Then if i see a new song by "XXXX artist" ill check it out. If i don't like it then i wont buy it, and wont check it out again. Plain and simple.

There is no "name" unless the music makes the name recognizable, or worth remembering.

Just because anyone can say I AM DATSIK, put up a graphic Datsik uses, and put out a song that sounds like datsiks style, does not mean that they are datsik, nor does that mean they made Firepower, apples, or any of the other bangers that made DATSIK who he, better yet, his alias is.

That just shows that that certain person can bite a style someone has engineered over time.
