As I said, I agree disclosure is a bit of good fun. Just don't see why they out of all people broke through to mainstream radio here. Tons of other artists who made that style (of course originally ten or more years ago) also more recently.

Second: Etiquette is a fancy word, like someone said: all it really takes is to not act like a tnuc and allow people their personal space, especially if they are out back in the venue in particular to avoid the front row massive and drunk/stoned/high crazy dancers. And also, back in the day when I bumped into a (almost) 30 year old 6ft.4 male, who's obviously an asshole tnuc like myself, I at least apologised, rather than try to leech free drinks/smokes/weed of him.

Bring on the DSF awards btw :p

I don't know how I feel about this. I guess I feel that since it is the dubstepforum awards and not just the dubstep awards, it would be nice if it reflected whatever the forum is feeling most, regardless of genre. I mean, when night slugs won best new label, it fit for the time, even though they don't put out dubstep. I know there are probably some purist that disagree with me...

Proper dubstep only?

will somone define proper dubstep for me then please?

is it just anything at 140 bpm?

What about if somone has made a 2step track at 135 bpm?

is that okay?

Oh and i guess Old Apparatus cant win anything then as its not proper dubstep.

Hmm, this is a good idea in principle, but I think it needs to be kept to stuff at least loosely tied to dubstep (that might be what you're suggesting already, to be fair). The tastes of people on this forum outside of dubstep are far too diverse to deal with the scope of nominations the awards would receive if it was for music on a whole!

I remember several independent and underground people, who have put in the hours and the work, being very happy about just being nominated. I think people Like bunzer0 with his FOB show, Joe Nice, but also the smaller (digital) labels really getting some great exposure through these awards (mindstep, fentplates,...).
