Atsubox
Camu & Deity
Detz
DVLPR

Jabu

Kyson
Owsey

Sina.

Not necessarily my favourite artists (although I do like them), but the ones I think you'll actually hear about next year. At least I didn't just name DSF members anyway. :6:

Egoless & Stumbleine have both been floating around for 2/3 years now and been pretty popular. Also LOL at whoever said Gatekeeper, he had releases on Skull Disco and Punch Drunk back in 06/07. I was still in secondary school when they came out.

Has Crown Duels gotten a mention? Dude seems pretty sick

Also, Peaman, Cloaka, and hopefully Baitface. That Orbital EP is so good

Definitely want to keep an eye on Taiko, i've heard some clips of the collabs he's doing with Wayfarer and they are seriously weighty

Is it just me or does it often fel like people are to quick to try and push through a load of new names when if we got behind those people already doing stuff it would make the scene more healthy and in turn make it better for new guys coming through. Very often I seem to find loads of talk about some new guy who hasnt even had a release. yet some producers who have had a few tunes out dont appear to get any love.

I sometimes feel like the dubplate thing is a bit stupid these days and that if people backed the newer smaller labels it would create more opportunities for people to get releases... surely a release is the physical embodiment of being recognised as a good producer?

But then the music websites would run out of flash-in-the-pan, suddenly fashionable producers to proclaim the next big thing before mercilessly slating them the year after.

This is true, there is a lot of hype around unsigned artists for the fact that if they ever become big you have bragging rights of playing their tunes before they were signed.

I've been searching through most of the suggestions on here and most of it just sounds like standard minimal 140 stuff, which isn't surprising as I assume most are new producers. In fact I've heard better stuff on random topics in the dubs forum which has got very few replies at all.

However there are a few surprises in there I was unaware of.. FNC & Razor Rekta - Embryonic is a BEAST! And FNC is from northampton, big up to him haha!

I'm gunna throw Compas name in there.. I know hes not new but hes certainly one to look out for next year, hes had a great year this year and it's only going to get better.. can see him having a few records lined up on some big labels!

Gunna repeat.. Tribe12 vinyl.

Compa is pretty standard minimal 140 stuff IMO.

I like his music but its not exactly experimental or groundbreaking.

Yeah, but he has so few releases and this year it seems he got a bit of momentum (releases on Apple Pips and DecaRhythm, remix for Arkist). That's just my guess though; I didn't mention him.

True but I meant the stuff I was listening to you could tell they're new producers.. its nothing new or different, yet. Compa certainly is different in comparison with most of them, the atmosphere of his tunes are what sets him apart from the rest. Again hes not new, I'm just tipping him to have a really good year and see some releases on some well respected labels this year. Hopefully Alpha gets a release.

Hopefully more dubstep releases from Swindle too, the guy has MAD musical talent.
