leave bassdrive alone, try another station that has a more open music policy...or are you trying for the easy way out cos bassdrive already has a lot of listeners..that's pure cheek lol
they are just pissed because Dubstep can knock a hole in your chest, and they are stuck with another shit Noisia RMX

lets at least take it out of all those waging wars
there's no need for this, if ppl want to do what they do then let them, its a shame but whats the point in getting aggy about it? I swear so many of the (non-musical) things ppl criticise the dnb scene for are just being straight up reflected in our burgeoning one!

why be at the mercy of a mainly drum n' bass internet radio station
when you can start one up of your own fairly easily?
just my 2c.

oh yeah and btw, to my knowledge
http://www.cc-radiostation.net/
is (always) actively looking for new selectors + styles.
run by some very nice belgian dudes doin' it for the music and the laffs.
sometimes some confusion about timezones and daylight savings, but their servers and community are tops.

Word. So much in dubstep has been built up from the bottom, this seems quite unecessary. Dubstep is it's own sound, with it's own nights, it's own labels and it's own listeners. Exposing more people to the sound is all good, but there's no point in trying to get support from people who aren't feeling it, like zew. At the moment, dubstep is not at all about the number of potential listeners, shifting units, or making $$$ - it's about people sharing a sound and a vibe. Lets keep it that way for as long as possible - if zew and bassdrive (or anyone else) aren't feeling it, that's fine; dubstep can grow its own radio stations.

There's no point trying to shove dubstep down people's throats, at the end of the day it's a Drum n Bass station so I don't really see why people are getting worked up about it. Dubstep just needs to do it's own thing and not come with "drum and bass is shit, look at us our music is so much better".
Discussions like this are just gonna cause animosity between the 2 scenes.

Ha ha. But seriously it aint about DnB heads thinking that dubstep heads are snobbish wankers. Just let the music do the talking. Anyway nights like Essence of Chi show that the 2 scenes work well in harmony with each other.

If the guys at bassdrive want to put music in little boxes and call theirs "24/7 drum and bass", let them get on with it. I don't put music in little boxes, I put it in my ears, and in my heart, and in my soul.
We don't need any dubstep evangelists going on a fundamentalist dubstep crusade, dubstep will speak for itself. Let the music do the talking.

Ex junglists are almost annoying as ex smokers
well I'm both of the above but still dabble in each!

Thats soo jokes thats the exact analogy that was swimming round in my head last night! Too true man it hits the nail proper. We all represent our scene, and one of the things i love about dubstep is the vibe, the main people involved from the top to the bottom have acted with humility whenever ive seen them (in whatever form), and i reckon its all about that attitude being reflected throughout whatever community forms around the music. Call me a hippy, but I like positive things; embrace and openness for example. I dont like negativity, elitism and beef.
Disclaimer: this isnt a direct cuss, its a general comment. As I said, I dont like beef, I think it's a waste of time
