Futuresex/Lovesound was one of the best pop albums of the 00's, this is looking to be comparable.

i'm not a massive jt fan but the stuff he's making is bound to be more interesting than the vast majority of the shit that's in the charts at the moment.. it's unreal how david guetta has just blanded everything out

I'm loving the album, aside from some cringey lyrics it's quality from front to back

Haha sounds like you might be. Not denying that he's going for a Prince-vibe, but that's been obvious since Futuresex/Lovesounds. That doesn't do anything to diminish his wealth of talent as a musician and a performer though.

I reckon, not to mention the last minute of Cry Me A River

JT is a don. On another level from your average 'pop star'. He actually writes and produces the bulk of his stuff too I think, guest producers now and then but he's not a 'puppet' pop star.

Prince would sell his soul to be jt. He has the one thing prince could never find.... relevance past age 30

if you didn't make the "god damn!" face when sexy back started getting leaked then you're not only terrible at music, you're terrible at life
Let's break this down simple:
This is who is producing his music
Justified- Neptunes, Timbaland, Brian McKnight
Future Sex- Rick Rubin, Timbaland, Danja, will.i.am
20/20 - Timbaland and J-Rock (dfw innit)
That's not only a whose who of producers Timbaland, Neptunes, and Rick Rubin are arguably the top 3 most influential producers in hip hop end of story. If you need to have that concept broken down for you then you do not know a fucking thing about hip hop. Rubin changed the 80's, Timbaland changed the 90's, neptunes changed the 00's
As far as his personal vocal abilities... are there dudes with better voices... yup. Are there dudes with better voices that have his consistant range? nope. He's almost a 4 octave voice and starts out at C5 and he is a dude. That's bordering on what Michael could do.
A class voice
A class producers
unless you're trying to hold out some grudge from the late 90's because NSYNC bumped KORN off the countdown on MTV, i really don't see why anyone would question him as an artist. Dude is legit

Saying Justin Timberlake is not a musician is like saying electronic music isn't music.
