too fucking right about changing your money. was in london the other week and every time i handed over a note that had "bank of scotland" on it i got looked at like i was an alien. we see english notes up here all the time and never even look at it.

Yeh, ive heard some places wont accept them.
I think you have to stick them together without mixing them with other notes, so it must be a pain to take to the bank.
Gutted you lost the 1pound note though, wha blow?

yeah £1 notes were great for making you look much richer than you really were, plus not as heavy as the coin.
nothing worse than having a wallet full of change.
