i run a soundsystem & a regular clubnight, and i would never let a dj with shitty mp3's play at one of my dances.
it's just not the average quality. and the people definitely hear the difference!

i just see no reason we people buy a mp3 if the wav costs slightly more...
if you wana run this thing serious you should buy the vinyl or at least the wav.

i guess that hardly depends how (on what kind a speakers) you lisen to it. But on my soundsystem i can hear the difference. especially on the low end imho. the sound you get on the sub (30-80hz) an the kicks (80-200hz) ist just a ugly, muddy blast. with a higher quality you will get more transparency in the sound.

no of course not, but we try to keep it this way.

first, we book swiss dj's who play VINYL. (mostly no laptop djs at all)
second, at the end what matters to us the most is that nobody plays ripped mp3 (ore whatever format it ist). but thats another topic.
