I thought I broke my speakers when I started listening to Elloughton. I can't imagine that was how it was supposed to be. Honestly it sounds like someone clipped every single channel and then added maximus onto the master, that had already caught on fire, and put it on the Max Loudness preset. Or maybe the download got messed up or the compression screwed it up on the upload. There has to be explanations.

Don't you doubt these mastering techniques.
Re: June 48 hour comp (14-16th) Round 1
Cool entries.
Howden= mixed down really well, reece is quality and vocals are well edited.
Broomfleet= Not liking the drums, but nice pads & atmosphere
Laxton= Well made, liking 2:03-3:05, would def have voted for this if it wasnt for the jarring yoiis.
Kilpin= Cool dub techno elements @ 4.07
Elloughton= FUCK YES
,3.20 onwards is actually quite cool though would love to sample/remix
Brough=terrifying stuff
Selby = Potential winner imo
Little Wheaton = Phaeleh/Author vibes, wicked tune

lol Howden and Broomfleet both have reggae skanks which I disliked in the tunes. and both had lowpassed distorted or reese basses, which I liked.
howden gets my vote though. I liked the beats better. It'd be cool with full vocals imo
laxton-I like the intro sound. lmao at the vibrato yoi's!
kilpin- should've started at the section around 1 minute in. are those 909 hi hats? lol so passé but actually well executed. I like the beats, but felt there was something missing.
lol at the volume difference between elloughton and brough
selby and little wheaton are both great tunes.
big ups on wheaton being the longest tune and one of the best in this 48hr contest.
