Weren't you born in like 1995 or something?SCope13 wrote:yeah Blood Sugar and Californication are both classics.
Idk, maybe this is just me being overly nostalgic because they're the band that got me into music, but I feel like they've released some pretty amazing stuff.

'94. I think I got into them when I saw one of their vids on VH1 when I was like 11.

Good reppin' the 90s, your opinion is important to us and has been placed in a queue.SCope13 wrote:'94. I think I got into them when I saw one of their vids on VH1 when I was like 11.

One hot minute is the only one for me.SCope13 wrote:yeah Blood Sugar and Californication are both classics.

I helped.SCope13 wrote:yeah Blood Sugar is a classic. @wub
I'm not claiming to be a "90s kid" when I in fact have no recollection of the 90s whatsoever, I'm just saying they're the first bands I ever really got into and I think they're one of the better popular acts to come out of that time

Yeah One Hot Minute is fucking sick, and personally I rate it above Californication, it just isn't of "classic" status.Electric_Head wrote:One hot minute is the only one for me.SCope13 wrote:yeah Blood Sugar and Californication are both classics.

Re: Oasis are the best band of the 90s.
I'm not a fan of any of their stuff beyond One hot minute to be honest.
For me it was a "classic".
Dave Navarro on lead just made that album.
Favorite band of the 90s though, that's a toughy.
Could be anyone of a few.
Sepultura, Rage Against The Machine, White Zombie, SoundGarden, etc.
Too many

Stone Roses
Re: Oasis are the best band of the 90s.
If we're going to include bands outside of the alternative rock sound this thread's been focussed on I'd say Burzum and Fugazi are both right up there

Their only non-shit album came out in 1989?NiGHTS-24 wrote:Stone Roses
No no, after giving it some thought the correct answer is definitely Spiritualized
(or Super Furry Animals)

I'd say maybe Coachella or Lalapolooza instead of Burning Man. The Peppers just aren't steam punk enough for burnersmagma wrote:I helped.SCope13 wrote:yeah Blood Sugar is a classic. Think we're pissing off Dave Grohl and Josh Homme here
