FUN FACT - The Skyline GT-R driven by Brian was actually Paul Walker's personal car, which he himself customised for the film. It sustained a ruptured oil pan and severe damage on all four rims from the bridge jump, but in a matter of hours, the car was in good running condition with the parts replaced. He had personally chosen all the racing cars in the film. The stunt when Brian powerslides toward the crowd after winning the first race was actually performed by Paul Walker after convincing the producers that he could do the stunt himself and several days of practice before shooting.
That Skyline, those shitty neons, the unlimited amount of gears in the cars, the claimed '10s 1/4 mile' cars doing a quarter mile in 4 minutes worth of footage, the abundance of quotable one liners, Ja Rule, its all fucking good mate.
Another honourable mention for the Skyline How many of us had a poster of it on their wall?

Chav'd up cars can be nice when they're done right, i.e not Saxos with an exhaust kit and huge spoiler

The whole "10 Second Car" thing was hilarious. I doubt anyone has ever made a 10-second Eclipse!
But I'd still drive it.

not just Americans
However fast it is it just looks pathetic when it sets off
I need to watch six actually as while I'm not a fan of the series overall it actually seems to have been getting more entertaining as it got really over the top and well, adding the rock is surely a good sign regarding it just going way overboard.

5 was bad enough with the bank vault robbery, but 6 is just stupid. And it takes place in London, so lots of extremely inaccurate Americanised interpretations of just how the Met operates
