tbf I used to get drunk and pass out to Babestation in my post-sixth form, pre-full-time employment days.

Dates are distributed in the same way across 1986 and 2014, meaning that anyone finding a 27-year-old calendar knocking around can re-use it.

I'm here to admit I'm struggling.
I don't drink that much
but I'm finding it harder to do without.
Brain chemistry has changed to have me reliant on the relaxant.
Fortunately I don't like being a slave to habit.
And am prepared to be poor rather than afford easy grog.
I can appreciate the disease aspect
and am not willing to let my indulgence be more important than the well-being of my loved ones.
So there's hope for me.
For others, all I can recommend is the exercise of constraint
and reminding you of the obvious:
alcohol is a drug, addiction to it is unseemly and leads to disfunctionality,
ultimately to powerlessness and an inability to ameliorate the world.
