Mod money isn't enough to live on, even living in Bristol. But a few hundred a month tax free never goes amiss :Q:

I'm not convinced about this at all... it might have the knock-on effect of not affecting work performance, but I think it's part of typically English respect for privacy and subtlety tbh. Plenty of other cultures with similar economies don't have such a problem with it. Transparency within companies is often done by the pay-scale anyway... if you're in any sort of a corporate structure, it wouldn't take long for someone to work out a rough idea of what you're earning based on your role.

The only people I ever discuss how much I earn with are my parents, my boss and my girl; nobody else needs to know a thing about it; only whether I'm happy or not. I wouldn't even compare with my brothers... actually... I can barely think of a worse conversation to have with someone that doesn't involve HIV results.

A few hundred, I didn't specifically say £200.

Basically we look after the day-to-day running of the site with various tasks and duties. In my case, my main role is looking after you lot. Kind of like having to teach a special needs class, but online.

Yeah yeah, rub it in why don't you. Not like I do more round here than you or anything :roll:

Sadly not anymore - I knew it couldn't last forever! I'm a permie again as of last Monday.

I have. Also recommend the following films for you;

Wall Street
Boiler Room (inspired by Wolf Of Wall Street)
American Psycho (which you've probably already seen)

I work in construction and pretty much everybody openly talks about how much they're earning

I dont see the problem with it either tbh, if you want to keep it personal then fair enough but what difference will it make to anyone if i tell you how much i earn?

at the moment im on £135 a day, ten hour shifts at 13.5ph

but the rate can changes up or down depending on roles and competencies and who im contracted through. And nights and weekends are like a pound extra per hour

the next step up for me is 18ph midweek and 22ph weekends though tryna cop that :P: :P: :P: :P: :P: :P: :P: :P: :P: :P:

Once I've got this mortgage sorted out and the savings bumped back up, I reckon I'm gonna get on that contracting hype if there's enough work to go around fairly locally, get on the five hunned a day biz.
