I don't mind people dressing as retards if they want to, I mean the first people to wear trousers probably got the piss ripped out of them, but I do find the whole LOOK AT ME EVERYONE I'M A REAL CRAZY GUY HEY WHY DON'T YOU TAKE MY PICTURE WHILE I GURN aspect a bit annoying. although it might be that the ones running around having their pictures taken are the most wankerish end of the scene and the rest of them are just in it for giggles and look less like arseholes.
I've recently found out that there is actually nu-rave music beyond the Klaxons. AFAICT, it is to electrohouse roughly as big beat is to breaks - kind of maximal, messy, fun, in your face, gets-annoying-after-the-first-two-minutes 4x4 synthy stuff. It's kind of nice to know it's there, though.
