Re: RIP Spaceape
Sound for deleting my fucking post.
RIP to the Spaceape. This is no disrespect to Kode9, because he's just one part of the whole, but Spaceape's vocals elevated what could've been a fairly average album into the one of, if not the best albums in dubstep, Memories Of The Future. The guy's delivery and content was always spot on, made Memories one of the most tense, dread albums going, and managed to succeed in making a great, genuinely unique, unforgettable vocal dubstep album. The poetry I'd seen him from was top notch too.
Will be sorely missed but well remembered.

pretty sure it just got lost in translation - three topics have been merged and the opening post was heavily edited as well. they didn't mean any harm I'm convinced.garethom wrote:Sound for deleting my fucking post.

+ it even's out the score for the murders of Aalyiah and Elliott Smith, who I regard as infinitely more significant artists in every way imaginable.
Re: RIP Spaceape
Damn... this guy pretty much soundtracked every night bus journey I took in my first year or so living in London. Spaceape will never truly die; he was never truly human.
Glad to have caught him live a couple of times; somewhat weirdly the last time I saw him was on the same bill as DJ Rashad.
Gonna put my earphones in, stick Memories of the Future on and pray that nobody says a fucking word to me until it's time to go home and listen to it again.

He's obviously trolling, just ignore it and everyone will be better off

Re: RIP Spaceape
This is tragic news.
I read the other month in an article that he was battling cancer, but to actually read that he has passed was a bit of a shock.
R.I.P.
