Big night :)

Kode 9 was probably my set of the night, real different styles... there was this one track he played, can't remember much of it now, but it was an uptempo ska-style number with a vocal saying "I've got to find my way... far away from home" or something. Tore the place up :D

Nice to meet some of you, and see a few familiar faces... boomnoise, alex bokbok, deapoh, luke envoy, rusk, logos, orson (SOLDIER) :D

What was going on with the security? They all looked moody and focused, but people seemed to be blazing freely anyway. One of my mates got caught skinning up, but the guy just said "try and be a bit less obvious about it."

Still, even if there was a bit of trouble... heavy night.

Bury the bwoy!!!!

maannnn only just woken up.

What is the name of that tune that Skream played, heard it before without the vocals, it starts with long dub intro, got pulled back four times and I'm guessing has Warrior Queen mcing on it?

ILLL!

Highlights were definitely N-type's well fast tight DJ skills (nice to meet ya) and Skream's illness. Thank god it started to clear out a bit by 3am cos it was like a frigging gig! lol top ngiht

Reeel shame about security and bar prices though

Tell me about it!! :o
.

WHAT!

Have to say, although its shit being miles away from all the big nights and such, up north has its advantages.

Couple of months ago I got a round in at my local spit and sawdust:
1 pint of guiness, 1 pint of tennents (thats carling to you souhterners), and a pint of 80 Shilling (manky scottish shite).

£3.80

Nuff said

Still, they didn't have Mystikz playing in the background!
Oh well

I didn't have any problems with security to be honest, was rolling single-skins a lot of the night and they clocked me a few times but didn't do anything, perhaps because it wasn't obvious. 3.50 a beer hurt my wallet (but not as much as jubscarz's haha) but never mind.

Wish I could remember the tunes I heard last night :'(

Question: did one of the MCs on last night used to be a big Garage MC? I've been listening to some old Garage Nation tapes recently (lol) and I could swear one of the MCs at DMZ sounded exactly like somebody on there.

Well... another heavy night, been to quite a few dmz's now and the music just keeps getting better and better... So many big tunes all night, hard to remember them all... Mala's Alicia Keys remix is still smashing it, but what was the Skream track with warrior queen?... sickness... also was i tripping or did i hear a Prince track played... was Kode 9 responsible?

Managed to stay for most of Distance's set but by that time me and the lads were looking a bit messy so called it a night... bummed out i didn't see Plastics set tho...

Sets of the night for me was N Type or Skream, but everyone played a blinder.. Kode 9 dropped some classics too..

The security were totally out of order, was deffo something dodgy going on, some people walking around freely with splifs behind there ears, then people on here saying they were clocked and let off? but i saw enough people getting kicked out, my mate got his weed took off him.. they were just a bunch of wankers... Were probably selling it back to the punters.. pricks.. Was impressed that everyone kept there cool about this, noticed Poke's bigging up the crowd for keeping in nice and peaceful.. hay thats what its all about init...

Great soundsystem and the room was much better than the bithday bash.. but IMO third bass was the better room out of the 3, and looks as tho it would hold around the same amount of people...

The beer prices were a joke.. could just about handle paying £3 for a can of Red Stripe at the last one's, but now £3.50 for bottles of Stella.. jokers... It looked to me as tho there was a few more restraints with using this room... more and tighter sercuity (this behaviour could cause beef at future events), stupid beer prices.. costing enough for some steppa's to get there this really does turn it into an expensive night out... but all in all it was worth it...

Good to catch up with a few faces again and meeting some new people.. Burn Zero (not sure if you understood me or not.. but easy guv.. nice to meet ya)
Massive shouts to mala, loefah and all involved for putting on yet another awesome dance... respect !!!! roll on July....

Last night was immense= the sound in there was proper! I swear I could feel the building flex when i was in the toilet!

Once again such good vibes... and the randomness of seeing some people I have not seen for years, into the same sound-Respect to Reso - well looking fwd to hearing ur beats man. Hold tight Lower Morden. Big up Luke Envoy too, nice to meet u.

Security were long, but to be fair the flourescent yellow pinnies they were wearing gave their positions away. I just stayed on the stage and kept half an eye peeled.

When the bars that dear tho, you know 7.5% Guiness makes sense.

Vox snippets that made me chuckle- "UNCLE LOEFAH" and "Sounds so Physical, Coming like P.E." Long live all MCs with a sense of humour.

Big up all Notts crew who made it donw- looking fwd to Digi mystikz at stealth.
