Apart from Deamonds comment about the pusher in abusing fit bird rights he might be talking about me. I rocked up on my own at 10 and was trying to work out which queue was which. You know how it normally works...there is a priority queue for tickets, and one for non ticket holders. Guest listers normally straight in. I dont think anyone knew which queue was which and the head bouncer couldn't even answer the question. Twat.

Boom came out just I was stood by the door and I was chatting to friends at the front, right at the front and I got my wristband and just sort of stayed where I was. Right at the front. Sorry if that pissed anyone off.

What should make people more annoyed is although I was at the front of what was the guest list + ticket holders queue I waited almost 20 minutes (at the very front) while non ticket holders were let in!! Those boys on the door took waste to a whole new level.

Out to Boom for dong his very best. Out to the ppl in the queue with tickets who got shafted, that's just the very worst. Deamonds I'm not sure it was me you clocked but if it was (and if it wasn't I did walk straight to the front and in) you know who to come and demand a beer from next time.

Safe.
it wasnt you...i know exactly who it was..

but thats it, enough said on the subject..

Thankfully I didnt go to the night as I live up north but to be honest it does sound like like you could criticize both sides of the organising. If this keeps happening at nights maybe the organisers should be prepared for this to happen and try and take more control of it.

Obviously I aint talking directly about this night as I wasn't there myself but its happened twice now in 2 months, be prepared is all Im saying.

Er, can I apologise to anyone who didn’t get in? I saw my friend when I arrived and pushed through to join him in the queue which was pretty rude in itself but turned out he was already in and it just looked like he was outside ‘cos that’s where the smoking area was. And I, er, stayed in the queue and got in quickly. I don’t think it’s me Deamonds is talking about either but I’m blushing regardless now I know how many people didn’t get in. Part of the thing I like about all of this is the underlying respect and etiquette people show each other – apologies.

I think he mentioned something about a fit bird so, he clearly wasn't talking about you. :partridge:

firstly i'd like to say we never thought the night would be this big. we were really worried about getting enough people through the door to justify the expense - and the response was phenomenal - and too big for herbal to handle.

i was only too aware of potential queue problems after being stuck in the infamous fwd warehouse party queue. and we made it a priority to sort out ticket holders. we even put one of the sound guys on the door, i was also outside trying to expedite things

one of the problems was some technicals which meant we opened a bit late which lead to a bigger queue amassing than what would have been ideal that early.

the council requires herbal to carry out fairly rigorous searches as well which doesn't well when you wanted people inside as quick as possible. the bouncers weren't particularly helpful either. sorry if they told anyone to go in the wrong queue.

why are bouncers so fuckin good at searching you and giving you crap but totally shit at organizing queues? surely both skills are required for the job? i suggested ways to get people in faster but they got up in my face about not telling me how do to their job. we did everything possible but the club's door set didn't do us, or you, any favours.

i was outside at several points making sure people were in the right queues. and telling people what was going on. and i'm very pissed off that people with tickets didn't get in.

i'll probably have more to say on this later as well. right now i need to chill out a bit.

it's already been said, but as someone who's been going to herbal for a while now, they could never have been able to deal with that many people, I'd never seen a queue that big outside there before. And as for the bouncers being aggressive and useless, well.. they are bouncers. I queued for twenty minutes before they got the ticket queue set up, and got in around half ten, in front of some fairly pissed off guestlisters.

I think its safe to say the negatives of the night came from the club itself.

err yeah..i'd also like to apologise to anyone who didn't get in for que -jumpin a bit..i know it's not the one when you've been queing patiently in the cold for ages and some randomer slips in front of you just because they have mates already in the que or whatever..thinking about it, i wouldn't really like it if it was the other way 'round so yeah - apologies. but in my defense, i'd come from really far, had a really heavy load and in the end it actually didn't make much of a difference as i was lucky enough to get a last minute ticket..

having said that though, I do think people in general should show a little bit more discretion with these things..i hate queuing, and I hate que-jumpin (when it happens to me) as much as the next person but when it happens it happens..no point getting vex over it..people just need to show a little more l o v e !

Damn, looks like I got it easy.

I strolled up at 11:20, no ticket, see the line and go directly to the bouncer to find out how fast he figures it'll move.

"It's moving fast mate, Ill have you all in within half an hour."

I gave up after waiting an hour and twenty mins with the line moving sloooow then finally not moving at all by quarter to one.. Prob only 30-40 people in the line at that stage, most had bailed...

I did want to find out what all that typing in caps MC crap was about (being an mc I wanted to know if he was for real) but after readin it all on here + the link to squatjuice I see I didnt miss much.

Just to confirm on the strength of his posts.

1.) He got booked to an awards show
2.) His set was before the DJ of the year
3.) He was listed on the flyers as a special PA
4.) He was listed in Time Out and the website got rinsed with buffalo fans.
5.) He actually backed it up in person infront of a semi hostile crowd.

Brock Wide.

For these 5 reasons he goes down in history as the best troll I have seen on SJ.
Fuck thats some sad shit. Spend less time on the internet people!!!

What's sad is they thought they were taking the piss out of dubstep when he was asked to perform precisely because everyone here was up for a jokes freak show.

Pretty much. The bit about the other MC's being pissed off was quite funny though, does seem to be a thin line between pisstaking MC's and MC's generally sometimes. At least he wasn't rhyming "positivity" with "live in harmony" endlessly.
Hmm....
