Would a complaint about wobble tunes be any more valid because its less of a niche thing?

oh, and by the way... I love death metal but dont like it in dubstep. it drives me crazy!! a dubby track and a hard on death metal grinding track dont mix!!

anyone agree or disagree??

plenty of great tunes in every spectrum of the music

it's up to you to define what you like

calling dark dubstep "shit" is rather opinionated

so...

I feel there is a place for everything

having said that

dubstep moshpits are the shit!

claw ftw

If there's one thing I don't like, it's tes la rock tunes.

If there's two things I don't like, it's tes la rock tunes and Marmite.

a metal influence and dark tracks have been in dubstep for ages. distance has been playing with this style since day dot

same with 'jump up' styles of dubstep.... i hear people moan about it (i dont like it myself) but again it's been there since day one.

if you dont like a particular style of music, just ignore it. easy.

i listen to much less dubstep these days cos theres more and more of it i just dont like, but i dont whinge about it all the time. i keep my ears open and listen for other music i do enjoy.

but i'm also tired of dubby (reggae) tunes.

and i'm tired of the "chopped and screwed" stuff (although matty g's first release is still a fucking banger because it was so original)

a certain "dj" killed a lot of people's interest for hip-hop/rap influenced tunes.

we don't need gimmicks to make the sound "acceptable." you either like it or you don't. take it at face value and don't water it down.
What dj are you talking about?

I couldve sworn South3n has done a few tunes that str8 up sample 70s dub tunes. Muslium Dub does for sure. and what about Tours VIP , shit uses Sippin on some Sizzurp.

Not hatin just statin'

Good music is good music, nuff said.

Positive vibes isn't the same as noone ever expressing a negative opinion, though.

I normally try to say something positive about something I do like than whinge about stuff I do like because noone's going to stop listening to wobble because I say I'm not really feeling it, but someone might check out a 2562 track if I say I am really feeling it.

On the other hand it's quite annoying when people are having a fairly civilized discussion about some stuff that they don't particularly like and someone comes in and says "why don't you tnuc-nosed cockfaced wankstains piss off and fuck your own dead grandmothers? This forum's about positive vibes."

Takes all sorts, if you don't like the thread don't read it.

Speaking of which, does phpBB allow an 'ignore thread' feature? It'd be quite good if it did, cos then you could ignore 15 page 'I hate wobble' threads, radio shows you never listen to and hype threads for events 4578 miles from where you live alike.

Waste thread! Agree with you Tes, too much negative!

I personally have time for most forms of Dubstep. I make a few different types too and I've had a god at all sorts just like every other producer I'm sure, its only healthy init!

I love the stab the speaker sound (quote from Phazeman ;) ) but I love the Dubby sound, jumpup sound, deep sound! I love most of it. I appreciate what’s been put into the track and just interested in hearing different styles of production.

BUT

Bottom line, don’t like it....don’t listen! I have this image of you with a sad face listening to something you don’t like.... That’s no good!
