I don't get it when people say that London is impersonal. You're far more likely to strike up a conversation with someone in a pub and get new mates in London than you are in most small towns in the UK. The idea that it's friendlier Oop North is a myth, people think you're fucking weird if you talk to strangers in Grimsby (and to be honest you probably are as the town is populated solely by retarded mingers). It's certainly not the place to move to if you're a shy retiring type or a bit of a crusty, but if you like meeting people, a frenetic lifestyle full of changes then it's ace. The majority of the misanthropes on here seem to live in places other than London for a reason.
