seems weird how against describing breakstep as dubstep people were, toastys always on peoples list of top dubstep artists here

Breakstep wasn't really liked at the time for some reason, but I think now it is looked on quite fondly. I love that sound, really energetic and with great percussion.

same, really interesting period for me, although most of the records of it i own are kinda impossible to drop in a set without clearing the floor haah

i can't work out what fucking tempo they all are cos they have so many drums it sounds like 150-60 in my head aha and they all have more screeching midrange than bro

hahaha most of em are slower tbh, i find they're around 136-138. at least the ones ive got are
