i would just like to say i never said that we were ruled by reptillian overlords, nor did i say that the new world order was going to turn us into slaves
also i never said i agreed with alex jones, doesn't go about it in the best way
i base most of my views on these two interviews, both of supposed ex illuminati members, dont let the two and a half hour length deter you, whether or not you believe it, its still really interesting

if you bury your head in the sand, and just choose to put faith in things simply because its in juxtaposition to popular opinion or the media's viewpoint then, you're not using rational thinking, but simply following your own or someone else's agenda. it doesn't mean that you shouldn't listen to countering views on things. not at all. it just means that you have to be diligent and impartial. impartiality is something that none of these conspiracy wacko's ever have. to them you're either a believer or a non-believer. it's a faith thing to them, which makes it even more dark, because you have to start to question whether it's factual thinking or just preaching. false prophets.

unfalsifiability. when scientists test a scientific theory, they examine a body of evidence, to first form the foundation of their theory. then, once the foundational theory is in place, they then test it against even more evidence to see if its still got validity. this is empiricism, or empirical thinking. eliminating un-logical ideas one by one until you have a triangle of thinking.

95% of conspiracism is untestable due to the fact that it suggests that evidence (which can be anything under the fucking sun lately) has been tampered with.

i remember from my uni debate professor that the worst thing anyone can do in the middle of a heated debate is to choose a complicated or suspicious explanation simply because they've but their faith into it blindly, without hard evidence. it's a leap of faith into a void. this completely goes against scientific reasoning which always will be the simplest explanation is usually the most accurate, because it requires the least amount of assumptions.

for example, when you hear a growl in the woods in the middle of the night, you can bet your ass its something about to eat you.

point of the matter is that if there is an oh-so-powerful new world order that is taking over...I don't think they'd want anybody to know their plan.

I'm more than positive they'd control television and the internet, and I'm more than positive that things like this wouldn't be able to surface. I'm pretty sure that by the time alex jones first started putting out bullshit like this on the internet that he would no longer be in existence.

To be honest it's nothing more than nut-jobs and people chasing money that put this garbage out and that believe it.

If all of this is true, I'm sure they would easily be able to shape your opinion on things on the internet, and even set up false websites with "hard facts" proving such claims to be false. There is no group of rich people aiming to take over the world and "enslave" us all, there is no planet nibiru full of reptilian overlords which have enslaved and created us since the beginning of time, and the world is not going to end in 2012.

I'm sure another conspiracy theory will surface in a few months and all of you will jump on that bandwagon as well.

i've watched zeigiest. i've spent a lot of time reading alex jones and david griffin on 9/11. i was in new york city on 9/11. i saw tower 2 fall with my own eyes. i lost two friends from grade school in that horrible shit. trust me, i've made it a near hobby looking into 9/11. mainly because that whole event still angers and saddens me, and also because I need to know if there's more i can be doing to bring out more transparency in that tragedy as a citizen.

do i think that government's hide things for their own reasons or maybe to protect their own agendas? absolutely.
do i think that there's a new world order? no, but the AMERO is definitely run by corporate self-interest.
do i think there's ufo's or flying pigs? no.
do i put faith in science and deductive reasoning? yes. everytime.
