i sometimes put a crackle generator on the master while I'm writing. I think the unexpected noises surprise you, it's to get rid of that feeling of knowing the beat too well and to get a bit of objectivity back.
I think the radio would work in this way too.

I have to agree with the naming final project thing. I tend to get caught up writing it that by the time I get to the end I dont have a clue what to call it. Thing is I want to show people as quickly as possible so I name it the first thing taht comes into my head

I love me some coffee and redbull actually monster "B.F.C." but I can't do it while producing it dulls my hearing or something. It's mostly just pot and cigs along with beer or coke (the softdrink assholes).

when i havent got any ciggys, and when im really craving for one i sometimes produce better for some reason.

True that. Amphetamine works 100 times better though. But sometimes you feel too good and just want to listen to music not make it.

I haven't started a track from fresh in over a year....I just build on from the last one. So hopefully that means every track is better
