a daw that is more freeform and can do things other daws cant, yea thats utterly crap.

I mean, i use Reaper and buzz primarily...but FL is very, very capable in what it can do. If you can't get good sounds out of it, you're just doing it wrong.

Seriously, given the range and quality of tunes that have been made in Fruity (and also in Reason and probably whatever else) I can't believe this sort of question still comes up to be honest. It just seems like a total non-starter.
