agreed
He's not homophobic. It's an overexagerated persona, surely?
Didn't he do that duet thing with Elton John a few years back? That's not the work of a homophobe.
Either way, it's done it's job. We're all talking about it.

hugging elton john to prove your not homophobic doesnt mean shit, it was just a forceful unemotional hug. also a hell of lot different then junk in your face...
anyway bruno is going to be an awesome movie, nothing id rather see more than a bunch of angry republicans being pushed out of their incredibly small comfort zone.
his best character if you ask me, reactions to ali and borat are just "who the hell is this guy". reactions to bruno will be "get the fuck away from me" and "are you fucking serious?"

Bruno is slightly funny.
"Well, you might not know... But I just wanted to tell you I'm gay."
"Oh. Okay"

Bruno was really funny when he used to do those World of Paramount shorts in the late 90s... there was a brilliant one interviewing a fashion designer, where the guy just agrees with *everything* Bruno says about his collection... even if it contradicts what he'd just agreed to.
"What I loved about it was how minimal it all was..."
"Yeah, we really wanted to emphasise space, clean lines, no fuss blah blah"
"And of course, how busy and complex everything was"
"Yeah, it's really hectic... loads going on, isn't there? We wanted it to be exciting..."
I'm hoping for more stuff like that rather than just random shock tactics and making people feel uncomfortable about him being "gay" (especially seeing as SBC isn't gay - that angle always seemed a liiitle cheap...)
