I think the tp's are being done .

Its going to be a 3 mix release

Cyrus mix
Distance mix
Rob sparx mix.

Thanks again to all of you who have show support for all mix's of the prayer. ( just read back over the posts..been a long time coming)

I was told promos are ready to hit the shops.

And BIG UP ROB SPARX for this one, because he actually wrote the tune. The others are remixes, in case Cyrus didn't make it clear... Rob's now done a 2008 mix of this old old tune as well, which is pretty nice.

More big things coming from Sparx soon enough...

robs old tune was actually dolphin dub..totaly different ( probably 1 of my all time persis). i used his vocal sample.. but ye, rob is a don. some big big tunes coming from him.

Just thought I'd better clear this up as I've only just been mentioned in this thread even though I wrote the original version of this tune in 1999 - its one of the first tunes I ever wrote! I never actually named it but it was labelled "Dolphin dub" on a old tape of mine which found its way to Cyrus and was played by him on radio for many years to come.

If you take a recording someone else has made (which should never have been leaked in the first place) and use it to write another tune then its either a remix or a bootleg its not your own tune. There's been some politics with this release because neither of the remixers asked me if I was alright with my tune being remixed before they went ahead and did it - First time I heard Distances mix was on that 1XTRA podcast with Crazy D and as you can I imagine wasn't too happy!! Until I kicked up a bit of stink I don't think my name or the word remix had ever been mentioned! So credit where its due Cyrus - U and Distance have done two wicked remixes OF MY TUNE and thats what they are - remixes.

"The Prayer" (as named by Cyrus) will be released on label Dubting (Distribution by Z-Audio) with the original and the two remixes - I've remastered all tracks so the mixes sound good despite their age. TPs arrived this week - promos will be out in a week or 2 and I'm working on another remix which will be on my debut album "Trooper" out around October also on Dubting.

indeed, I was googling for prayer (distance remix) a few weeks ago and then bumped into rob sparx' myspace. at first the track was credited as cyrus - prayer (distance remix) so I was a bit confused. big up rob sparx (2faced rasta is wicked as well)
