abs they call 4 you to answear threads now days lmao!!Abs wrote:you can tell if they're real or not because of these reasons..
1. they never argue or say anything too negative, they just stay really humble and take a very neutral aproach to things.
2. they post dubplates every now and again, classic sign of a genuine producer.
3. they have been posting on the forum since 1998 and remember when dubstep was invented.
4. all the forum members mysteriously agree with everything they say.
having said that, the real zomby posted here and i don't think he was humble, around in 1998 or agreed with on a mass scale.. he got banned anyway so forget about that.
How are the big producers verified on this site?
I think it does matter if somebody is impersonating a big producer and actually provoking a reaction from people, because a lot of the dubstep heads on the forum will start thinking so and so producer is a prick for no reason which is a bit shit really.bandshell wrote:They're just names, nothing to have a go at people over. Who really cares if it's the big producer, obviously the producer themselves will care if it's someone impersonating them, but if it's just someone pissing about or you don't know they are the producer it doesn't matter.
That being said, from what people are saying it's quite easy to spot a faker.
Shh it never happened satire is not allowed on heredeamonds wrote:if anyone was quick enough & saw the LAZomby posts on here last night, you would have been pissing yourself like me...jokes!!

not gonna name which producer, but many times I notice a certain "big name" producer making (legitimate) comments in threads but get completely ignored.
it's interesting, cuz you'd think ppl would be all interested in conversing with artists they like, but it isn't the case.
or maybe the producer only makes occasional comments here and there...so responding to them won't get you a response back.

surely thats the problem too many man pretend they can produce..lol!
nero if same as dnb is def good peeps
never chatted with as of late though lol
dunno dubstep has too many same names as dnb old school not same guys
def pisses me off when hyped up like no offense oh shit pariah is making dubstep! man he made some ill tunes
nah some 17 yr old kid with a copy of fl or some shit
discogs.com people
it has nothing to do with the d'n'b pariah.... certainly not trying to fucking use their name to get me places. also... i don't really make dubstep and i personally can't stand any of that wobble tearout stuff. i just make electronic music... some of it just happens to be around 140bpm.
don't fucking call me out like that. im not some 17 year old kid with a copy of fruity loops. and even if i was why would that matter. not to big myself but i have a number of releases forthcoming on R&S which is a pretty fucking old and respected label. i don't go out of my way to promote myself on this forum... the very occaisional "new tune" thread but that is about it.
i hate arguing about stuff on the internet... but i feel i need to defend myself.
this forum can be the worst place on earth sometimes.
you make quality tunes just yea name meh
be mad if you want to but name was establish long before dubstep
i mean fuck 5 sec check

i don't think im harming anyone with my name... its not like im producing drum and bass. i did think at one point about changing it... but its a bit late now. its not supposed to be coat tailing and im not trying to be someone im not. but tbh i didn't check discogs because there is barely any name out there that no one else has. at the end of the day its just a name and im sticking by mine. i apologise for going slightly mental... it just really got to me.
