HOOVERS!!!

I should mention the intro thats here isnt for this track. I didnt want to upload to soundcloud and just play from the bass drop, so I whipped it up as a last minute thing to fill gap. The arpeggi isnt present in the final...

...give it time to progress...

tell me whats missing here...

alot different then what I normally do... typically I try to sound very natural and organic when Im selecting sounds, ect... but to freshen things up I figured Id try to make use of some of the synth patches I kill time making... result.

Ill return the favor, I cant tell whos here to exchange feedback and whos spamming, so, if you drop some crit for me, Ill be more then happy to do the same... hate to waste it on wastes though.

CBK81cheers for that mate, was a really nice comment, sometimes I doubt my production skills so Im glad someone digs it
I will leave you feedback tomo, just got back from a killa set and need to sleep!

however i do want to say toreignz what do you mean by your comment? the orignal is a 126 house beat, so what do you mean about halftime drums not adding anything to the original?
Don't want to seem like a dick not accepting feedback and stuff, but I do actually listen to what people say about my tunes and bare comments in mind to try and make my songs better, but I need a little bit more to go on than what you said man..

Soundcloud
I had it confused with a DNB tune of pendulum, my bad there. I've just heard alot of DNB remixes of this song already, and your version didn't really match up with the rest of it, which made me think that you could've done more with the whole concept. Your drums are tiny bit too weak, they don't come forward enough in the mix. The melody is good but sounding abit unclear too. Bass doesn't hit deep enough for my taste. The main 3 problems in your remix IMO , I think some more EQ'ing couldn't hurt :)

A well produced track I feel the intro is slightly long, but that's my personal taste. Liking the arped synth on the intro and the individual elements that pop up now and again like the eerie wonky string, nice use of delay and possibly reverb too.

-Jaydot : i'm not really feeling it tbh, the timing often seems off , and your bass is way too loud in comparison with the rest of your tune. Also the melody at the start doesn't really flow, it's just notes following up with no cohesion between em... my 2 cents :)

- Basic A: Imo some of your melodies in the intro don't fit (eg. at 0.14 and at other times, it's like you tried to use too many different notes/chords) they're not false , they just don't fit in (again IMO) . So intro was abit a downer for me, although I really liked the first sequences that followed up well. The drop and after is intense , but the high pitched pad in the background, didn't really like it :) it's more annoying than that it is adding up to the tune, I wouldn't bring it back so often. Rest of the fx sounds good and for me the part after your drop is pretty damn good, except for that pad.

More powerful, more mixed down version of my remix:

Here's something i've been working on of late. I'm a newbie producer, have been dabbling with it for years but have never given production the time required to actually get good. I have about 20 unfinished tracks i've been fucking about with over a few years. Any tips or feedback of how to get my stuff sounding "tight" is much appreciated.

Hoping to crack down in my free time and get a few more up :D I also have the world's worst monitors. I'm going to invest in proper ones soon, but is it worth Eqing etc in my Senheisser cans too?

Be gentle please :P

@sparxy - nice tracks man! im diggin 'do what your told' use of step sequencer is cool. maybe add in a breakdown or something to keep it moving. also the synth doesnt sound quite as thick as it could but still nice, good work

@deniss1 - 'lumberjack' woah sweet song i was expecting some sort of intense drop but was surprisingly pleased with the mellow sound and clean drop this song has. the higher pad works well with the bass good job just make it longer and then add a breakdown in the middle and then drop it again with a bit different lfo and i think it will be solid.

@BasicA - nice quality production im liking the minimal vibes. only thing i can think of is maybe after about half way it starts to get slight bit boring maybe add in more drums or something im not quite sure but good work.

heres the same track im workin on but reuploaded. I also have a different version with another sample uploaded if you want to listen to the other one and tell me which one is better :) otherwise just some crit on the first one would be appreciated thx. (keep in mind its only my second attempt) any tips or constructive hating would also be great

Basic A :I don't like the intro at all , all this sounds don't really make sense to me in terms musicality , i know is just a transition ;my advise delete all the intro , things get better after that , nice atmosphere , i like the drums too , and the fxs , but i thing you got problems with melody .

Frogman : Scary Intro I like it , the woobles and all that , the piano melody is good man , all good , congratulation.

Dennis 1 :I don't know what to say , i think your synth lead sound too "dance" for me but i like all the vibe at the same time , is a different combination i guess like trancestep :D

Sparky: Dark intro , i like it ,and the lead sound is good to me too , maybe the drums need more vibe , add some triplets , and change the snare maybe , this vocals samples really add to your track a few points , try to add a few pads in the whole track . good work.

Reignz : maybe one the best tunes that has been pop up here , nothing too say , is all good.

almost finish , any feedback is welcome :t:

@frogman - shits sounding tight (i'm not to big on knowledge about production but it's sounding tight, maybe some more reverb on the snare would be cooooool but thats just the way i like it..)

@dennis - i'm liking the dancey vibes but with the bass im thinking either something really fucking heavy or just really slow and chilled with lots of ambient noises about the place!

@sparxy - actually kinda sounds like a moderny take on some skream i'm liking the vibes - even though i have only been doing this a year my ethic seems the same i gots about 20 unfinished little things i'm just messing with in spare time

here's something not really dubstep but kinda dubby ;)

Basic - A big thumbs down to the intro from me, well at least the first part of the intro. Once it gets more ambient, it's dope. The vibe is awesome and moody. Great stuff once it gets goin.

reignz - Good stuff, it still needs more sub imo the notes are too mid range. Not bad tho still and getting better.

Sparxy - I can't really put my finger on it, but I'm not really into the track. All of the sounds over all need some work imo. Keep at it tho. It's not the worst that's for sure.

deniss1 - Not bad. It just needs a better mix and more oomph to the snare imo. The wubs are pretty nice.

UnitedFruits - I dig it man, it's way out there on the dub style. Good stuff. Love the old school sounding cr drum machine sounds.

hey thanks to everyone who gave me feedback on Meanwhile last week.
here is more of a laid back tune, more of my style. obviously not mastered and stuff. any help with making the sub bass warmer? the first segment of sub bass before the note change are obviously lower, but i want it too stand out just as much as the higher note. the lower notes just seem so flat, cant figure out what to do!
feedback and comments are appreciated! I will return the favour and probably feedback for as many tunes as possible while im doing my course work tonight.
thank you!

Thanks for the feedback on mine guys. I'm gonna work on beefing up the synth sound in the middle (I was well aware this sound was weak anyway) as well as dabbling with arrangment. Personally I like the snare, may put some effects on but I don't want to change it too much. Hats need some fiddling with. More to come :)

@Basic A - sounding tight - the sounds are doing what they are supposed to. Sounding professional, just doesn't set my hair on fire, although I understand it's not meant to!
@Jaydot - this one's smelly! I like the start, I find some of the sounds a bit gratey on the ears though. Maybe work on keeping the aggression but tidying it up somewhat. Look at filters, automation and effects to shuffle it around a bit.
@reignz - not bad, not bad at all. only real criticism is that I sense a bit of Brutal Electro in there? Advice is to work on your own sounds more.
@deniss - got your vibe. Very professional, technically not bad, I just find the sounds a bit 'generic', maybe look to spice them up with your own flavours.

@a.paul - very chill tune, maybe add a very subtle wobble on the sub to give it some movement.

@naroja - interesting so far, really dont like the snare sound youve used though. Some cool sounds goin on though.

@DLOGREZYRB - not really my thing, but overall production sounding ok so far.

could do with some feedback on this
