Re: Working Out....
He's a really nice guy but perhaps i've presented him as a bit of a fool.... kinda like how i'm sure you're very nice irl but come across as a bonehead tnuc on here

Re: Working Out....
From my experience no. I've only used a thermogenic (caffeine and other stimulants to 'burn fat') and a thyroid based one and neither worked. I'd stay the fuck away from the thyroid one. Muscle is the best fat burner out there. Also eat a lot of decent fats.Laszlo wrote:'Fat burners'. Do they work?
Thermogenics can be nice to pep you up during the day when you're bad on a low carb diet, though. But a cup of coffee does the job just fine too.
Hahaha.. I've been overusing the 'CALORIES IN VS OUT' thing like mad on another forum. It's all there's really to it, mayne. Except get enough of each macronutrient (fat/carbs/protein) and try to gain 500 grams of weight per per week.Laszlo wrote:Genevieve, you do the whole bulking/cutting stuff, don't you? Got any insight other than the obligatory "nothing works unless you do" b2b "calories in/calories out, brah"?
With the internet, people hear so much shit and get so much random advice and everything gets overcomplicated like MAD. But it's all about rest, eating and training. Genetics too, but you can't work with that. Anyone can get big, though.

Re: Working Out....
Nice one, Genevieve! I appreciate your feedback.
My post was kind of an all-in-one question though, as in 'do fat burners help with cutting, but yeah, you covered it all. Big ups.
Don't think my friend would be bothered to start weighing food and so on, so I suppose the best he can do is increase his calories out (cardio).
You're so right about the conflicting information available online. Bottom line is you gotta do what works for you! Trial and error is the way forward imo.

Re: Working Out....
I don't know this, but some heads say that when you've got your fat and protein right, just fill the rest up with calories (of any source) and you'll be fine. I'm gonna ask around soon and see if this is true, cuz if it is, it means that you just have to calculate a few things once, eat those daily and fill the rest of the calories up with any food you like.Laszlo wrote:Nice one, Genevieve! Trust me, you will. And after the innitial mania wears off, you get some insane workouts out of it until it you stop feeling it and you double and triple dose it.ehbrums1 wrote:took this before my work out today...never again
..Not that I would abuse preworkouts like that. Nope. Nuh uh... /whistles innocently.

Re: Working Out....
Whey needs the energy from carbs to make it work.
Re: Working Out....
You get used to the stims after a while so you need a higher dosage to get the same energy.ehbrums1 wrote:why would some one double the dose? does it do much ?
I took a single dose of jack3d the other day just to test it and I didn't feel a thing.
Nope, it just needs energy. Fat can be used as a decent energy source too. People on a ketogenic diet get all their energy from fat.wub wrote:Whey needs the energy from carbs to make it work.

Re: Working Out....
Depends - if you're training for bulk/mass then I'd suggest carbs on the regular anyway w/ the whey. Instant Oats are the one.Genevieve wrote:Nope, it just needs energy. Re: Working Out....
@ehbrums1 - why do you feel the need for a pre-workout sup? You're young aren't you?
@Genevieve - yeah i've heard about that too. Not sure I like the sound of it but it's neither here nor there, for me personally, as I have a physically demanding job and just need to get calories in wherever I can.
Also, care to share a rough outline of your program?
Edited because of bullshit/bad advice/new evidence has come to light/ etc.
