so i re-rinsed this again

Silkie & Quest -- seriously them and the rest of anti-social are the dons of deep, sexy, lush dubstep. every single of their tunes are good. the horizon -- WOW...!!!! cant wait to keep hearing seeing more from them

Kulture - his stuff is pretty cool. heard of a few of his bits before this and generally enjoy them. Good set and cant wait to see what else he does.

Joker -- MAN! that dude works the synth like no one else. really got his own brand and style of things. def stuff i could dance out to all evening. i really liked his first EP and the rest of his tunes since are pretty spot on! Really enjoyed his set on here.

Starkey -- I hadnt heard much of prior to this. really interesting, different stuff. some of the his tunes really grabbed me. def wanna listen to his part again and check into his other tunes!

Chef - banged it out. I love Chef. Wish he wouldve played more of his tunes! I like his style and he killed it playing Dubwar back in June. Good stuff as always, and bangin out Coki at the end was money!!!!

Oneman -- DAMN!!!! talk about some SOLID fucking LONG mixes... wow. i had never heard him before but he crushed it! old tunes, garage, dubplates - he threw it down really nicely and i was impressed with his dj skills. love to hear more of this cat.

Cyrus -- king of space & bass. he makes dirty, dark, spacey tunes. pummels with low end. ive been a fan of cyrus & random trio productions for a bit now. i really enjoy how proper he uses space and the way he works his basslines.

Purely for those who wanna listen to it out and about, it's a pretty good recording off an FM source (radio walkman(!) since iPlayer was down). A little loud perhaps but not distorted, at 160Kb/s, and the Chase & Status track (Eastern Jam) from Bobby Friction's show left at the beginning, just cos its so fuckin awesome.

It sounds a LOT better than the iPlayer stream anyway, much more live sound, so by all means listen to it at home as well. BUT REMEMBER TO FIRE UP THE LISTEN AGAIN FIRST SO MAH GETS THE HITS. Fair enough yeah?

Enjoy.
Dudes, PLEASE use the BBC Listen Back function while the set is still up there. We need to support the sound as much as possible - the more people that lap up the dubstep, the more they will put on the radio. Obviously feel free to link mp3 versions once it's been up for a week or so.

Cheers. :4:

Do not try to sleep with this recording on. You'll bang on the walls and kick off your blanket true story.

Pure sickness, I swear I've listened to this about 20 times this week!

Everyone played great sets, but the best ones for me were Chefal, Silkie & Quest and Joker & Nomad.

I've listened to the show on repeat all morning!! great offerings from the new generation. Cyrus's set = my fav. for some reason I'm not into his older stuff but these tunes are awesome. Chef, Joker & Oneman tied for second.. then Kulture and Starkey were solid. I found the Quest/Silkie set a bit hohum for home listening.. better-on-a-big-rig tunes.
can't wait for a higher quality recording! til then I'll keep bumping the listen again.

thanks mah and all the players!
