@bl0rg: I cant figure out if thats batman but it sounds like it. It's really really cool. I would like for your wobbles to be more present, they seem a little bit muddy. The intro is nice though. very well done over all

@alexeyhermann: I like the various sound fx's, this is really cool and very disjointed. your snare needs more highs though, maybe layer a high end snare with it. overall pretty fucking cool, sounds like you put a lot of work into this.

@Toolman4: I'm not sure where you want to go with this, but I would suggest a much longer than average intro and some ambient builds. I think it has the potential to be high energy, maybe some DnB style hats or a crash/snare combo. it's a pretty good building block and you can go anywhere you want with it.

@Crow Steppa: I hated this until it dropped, the piano bit seems like a bunch of children playing a recital, but that synth at the drop and the bleep blorp thing is sweeeet.

here is my track I'm working on, I did some mixing and a little mastering. I feel as though it's missing something though. All feedback welcome :W:

Alexeyhermann- Catches me right away, loving the vocal samples. Newer producer here but the mix sounds spot on to me. Quality stuff man keep it up.

bl0rg- Orchestral horns are delicious, I love the build up. Absolutely love how it just rolls into the drop.

BenJonesLikeWhoa- dig the sub that is there right away. That bassline that comes in is fucking KILLER bro and the modulation that kicks in later on idk im feeling it alot man good work.

Here is my latest project been at it for a few days, Newer producer so any feedback is good feedback

@bl0rg:I liked your track, really good work with the reese bass!

@BenJonesLikeWhoa: I think you should lower the bassline a bit and maybe add som effects to it, beside of that... Great idea :)

@Ruckr23: Great work! It's always fun to hear something different.

Here's my latest work:

@E-T-F Wow man those are dark. Add some more elements in and they would be prime.

@alexeyhermann I always love your stuff. The vocals you use are always so sick. I think the bass needs some work but other than that its pretty damn awesome.

@bl0rg That is awesome. Clean up some mud in the wobbles maybe. I actually think it sounds pretty cool with the mud.

Ok so here is a remix im working on. I have a lot of trouble putting a beat to lyrics. If anyone has some advice for that it would be greatly appreciated.

@Gaol I don't think you did THAT bad of a job with the lyrics. However

I dont understand the structure.... I feel like you have too many ideas being thrown at this track. Especially at 1:31 when all of a sudden it turns into a dance tune? That was just to unexpected. Focus on ONE sound, and ONE vibe. Perhaps turn the dance part into a break down using some sort of transition.

Your mix down is also rather confusing...... Your kick annoys me. Its too "boom" and not enough POP... if you get what I'm saying. Also your snare needs to stick out more. & The entire track sounds as if it was low passed?

All I can see is keep working on it, and keep making tunes, eventually you will improve.

@Hakala I feel like there is too big of a space in-between the sweeps in the intro. Other than that your track is pretty dope man. Hope to hear more of it.

@Ruckr23 Well this certainly isn't dubstep but its a good beat actually. This would be a really cool track to rap over. Nice skills honestly.

@BenJonesLikeWhoa This is twisted man. Sick. Just the mix needs an assload of work. When your mid range starts after the intro, the midrange is too loud. It overpowers everything. The other midrange stuff sounds good though man.

@bl0rg Soo sweeeet. The intro sounds like a song from some sort of superhero movie and than it just drops. Really neat track man. Just wanna hear your drums a tiny bit more.

Here is my newest track. THANKS!

I've been looking all over for one of these threads, only to have one be right under my nose :|

@blOrg: I'm digging that ominous orchestral movement you've got in the beginning, they sound somewhat empty though. the brass in particular, just seems like it could be bigger. i also like the flow of your wobbles. it's been said, but im going to say it again. the wobbles are kind of muddy, BUT i agree with Gaol. i think the muddiness lends itself well to how dissonant the feel of your track is. I want to see this track finished man, i think it has potential :)

@toolman4: as promised, here is my feedback. the track you posted isn't up anymore, so i'm going to use the one in your signature, which i'm going to assume is the one you wanted feedback on :) everything sounds very very clean, and i like the sounds you're using. the one thing that stood out to in the intro was your percussion; i like all the hits you have off beat and such, but to me i doesn't really feel like it has any swing to it. add that, and i think it'll draw the listener in more. still makes me bob my head though you're right vocals do need work. i like the placement, they just don't feel finished though. i can't quit put my finger on it. overall great work. looking forward to hearing more from you!

@Kasshern: AH BIG SOUND! massive tune! those are some really driving basses you have. i agree on the second drop, more variation will make this a kick ass track as for the second drop it's self, i liked it. not much i can really pick out from this song that really needs too much work :W:

@BenJonesLikeWhoa: loving all of the modulation, and variations in sound that you've got going on. my advise would be to add in some little perc hits every once and a while to break the stagnation you can get in you in your drums if you use the same pattern for the whole tune. little mouth pops, or grunts usually do the trick. don't know how well this is going to be recieved, but here is an example/lesson kinda. check out rusko's masterclass vids on youtube if you haven't already. lots of good little tips in there. clean sound though. nothing really caught my ear that needed to be changed, other than some variation in the beat. well done.

ok... here we go
Soundcloud

i took your advise toolman, and cut that first section of wobbles. then i worked on the "meat and potato's" of it

enjoy!

@Hakala - The direction is really awesome, very airy and mysterious, you made real good use of reverbs. Very laid back and chill, but emotive and powerful with it's simplicity. Well done, sir, well done.

@antman - First of all, tight ass snare, I love it's punchy sound, but to me the reverb ends really... Cut like, it sounds a bit unnatural. Maybe extend the reverb just a tiny a bit so it flows out seemlessly? The bass has awesome movement, wobbly and groovy! Sick tune overall man.

@Noisestorm - Friggen' powerful! Massive track man, massive! A good idea is to follow that massive bass phrase with something softer, catch the ears off guard! Slowly build and build, and bring that massiveness right back in full swing! All in all, sounding proper and sick!

Well I will plug myself in now.... A bit of reading before hand if you don't mind reading it...

So I am pretty much finished my third track ever... I am looking for feedback... But... Man...
I think is sucks. I will be blunt. I know it has so many flaws... I want to attribute some of them to me still being new as hell to production... But.. I dunno.
Like, I know for a fact I fucked up how I made my bass sounds... I didn't record them right with a layered sub bass... Tried to EQ them AFTER bouncing them to audio to compensate.. And bleh...
I have put a lot of time into this... Really. Like 3 or 4 months... I originally had wayy to much distortion and you couldn't even hear the drums really... I re did everything in hopes of making it pleaseable... but I don't even like it... It's muddy... So so muddy...
Well I thought I would look for some technical feedback here, some good ground advice that I can follow as I head into my fourth track in production... if you have time to sit down and help me out, it would be appreciated... Sorry for this longish post.. but I thought I would tell you what I honestly feel about this before you listen.

@Bl0rg - I'm digging this track so hard, that intro is fucking banging!

@Ruckr23 - I like it a lot and I think it would be sick if you added a tempo change somewhere in there to pick up the speed a bit.

@Antman - I don't listen to a lot of dubstep that's just mainly sub, I know i'm gonna get shit on for saying this but I'm huge into brostep. The thing is it sounds really good, that sub is so clean and beefy, I love that! The only thing I would say is possibly change it up a bit, maybe add a new sound in there.

@perikardium - Hot damn, this sounds a hell of a lot better than my first track. You've got a proper intro, melody is real nice, vocals match up to beat. I don't know if you're going for a more chilled out vibe with this song but if you are than keep doing what you're doing. If you're trying to make it more heavy and in your face in some parts i'd say start splitting apart your basses into layers. Make three instances of your main talking bass, EQ each instance separately, sub, mid, highs. There's nothing that beefs up a sound more than layering the shit out of it! Also if you want to make your talking bass clearer, I'd suggest downloading Sugarbytes WOW. Its got a great Vowel function which can really bring out the vocals and vowels in your bass so you can really get it talking!

Here's my track that I'm working on. I don't really think the drop matches the intro, i'd really like some feedback on that. I also want some honest feedback on the track as a whole so far. Yes I know it needs a lot of mastering and a proper mixing, however this is an unfinished tunes thread

@TheJaft I was loving the intro then all the crazy wobbles came in  ;-) was expecting something like Tribesman by Sukh and them lot by the intro. I can see what you are going for though the drums work well I'd change the the sound of the wobble synths to something a bit darker and put some reverb on.

@PeriKardium I'm pretty anti wobble so I'm not really feeling the tune but I can appreciate what you got here Intro sounds on par with most of the stuff my friends who like wobble listen to (Sorry if I'm not much help on this one xD) theres enough variation throughout the vocals work well and it all glues pretty well I'd probably take the wobbles out put a delay on a synth one shot and use the rest all sub ha. keep up the good work!

@Annex I don't usually like tunes like this but this peaked my interest a lot. Like the whole intro and the build up besides what you have already stated I cant really add anything more except I'd probably make the main synth a bit lower and whack some reverb on it to add that dungeony vibe looking forward to hearing more!

This is a little something I been working on on my day off, went for a more chilled vibe! any feedback appreciated!.

@ Hakala Really enjoyed this, production sounds really clean and strong percussive elements, big up.

@ antman Quite a nice deep track, the only thing i would say is the bassline needs a bit more weight to it, and maybe add in a few extra percussive elements to liven things up a bit.

@ The Jaft liked the intro to this, what i would say needs to be improved is maybe the phrasing and rythm of the drop.

Ok, this is the first track that ive started that ive really felt like is going somewhere. I'm 16 and started producing a few months back, so still learning as i progress. Anyways here it is, any feedback greatly appreciated :)

Decided to remake a song last night, never done this before. Remade Avicii - Levels (not dubstep but thought i would post anyway). Still needs to be mixed down i think and I wouldn't mind having another go at that lead synth....I would say it probably has to much high freqs at the moment as well.

Have a listen and leave me a comment on Soundcloud and let me know what you think :-). Follow me and link me some of your own tracks as well and i'll leave my own comments :-).

@i11icit, thelastthing: That's... not quite how it works, mate. :a: Humorous avatar, though.

@OJ1s: I don't have anything to say; you sound like you have everything under control. It feels very relaxed. So far, so good! :)

@InTheCrowd: I like the samples of the crowd; feels large and live at first, then intimate. That contrast is welcome in such a chill track.

@Annex: I think the problem with the drop is that it suddenly shifts the tempo. It's not what I was expecting, which is cool, but it all happens much too fast. If there was a short moment, after the speed up, but before the drop hits, I think it would sound a bit better. Great sound design! But the snare needs to be heightened and EQ'd, and the kick also seems to be getting lost. So, turn the mids down on your bass a bit, or raise your drums.

@PeriKardium: Is the entire track low-passed? It sounds like there's a lot of treble missing, and I keep wanting to reach for the volume knob. That plus the deep sidechain compression is really missing with my head. So, anyway, I feel the vocals should be raised a bit, and the high end accentuated. I don't know if you plan to make any more changes to the song, but if you do, consider what's been mentioned. However, I do love what you're doing with your bass synths. By the way, what DAW are you using?

@TheJaft: Moments like that pitch handiwork at 1:44 are awesome! I'm really liking the vibe of this. The one thing about your synthwork that bugs me is your second synth -- the one at :37.5 or so. It sounds a bit loud in comparison to everything else. Percussion wise, your kick could use some beefing up, to better match that (nice) snare. Maybe raise your hats? But that's more personal preference than anything. I really like how you've all these micro edits along the same melody. It makes for good anticipation, and I'm continually surprised by the choices you've made. Solid track so far. >:)

So, thanks to those who commented on my previous track. I took your advice, applied it, then decided to scrap the song for the moment. Something wasn't working... so I made this instead. Please keep up the pointers and leave feedback! (Also, please ignore that kick fill from 1:57 - 2:00; it's just something like a placeholder.)

@gaol, your track is for sure origional. i dont like the metal breakdown style drums , and the transitions are very rough. but we all have to start somewhere =D. the key is that you are putting tunes together yourself and they sound ORIGINAL! i used to play guitar in a metal band from st.l, and i used to be in that scene XD, everything metal-related just sort of makes me cringe now XD

@ Annex, your intro leaves me hanging every time it drops off, but the bass line definitely took me by surprise. i enjoy the" brostep/bro-bot " sound you have =D. it sounds heavily influenced from the rottun crew and it is very gripping.

@inthecrowd, i always love more minimal chill stuff. i would add a little bit of reverb the the clap, and i want some sub bass =) either way its still a very enjoyable listen mate. good tune!

@oj1s, no need to mention age! but for only producing for a few months this is def pretty good. you have a nice sound captured, and it is definitely easy to grasp/follow. i would work on the drums a little bit. the kick sounds flabby and the snare is light. but thats just my personal preference, i love the punchy drums =)

@kikaruu, tons of momentum, keep that up. i feel that the highs should maybe have a little more eq work done, as in cymbals. they are a bit too in the mix and should have less mid-highs. the bassline is chaotic but i like chaotic, thats my style as well =D but i would find something to do to maybe make it a little more easily accepted by the mainstream listeners(i know thats gay to say) but too many times have i toned down a track after seeing a friend of mines reaction to a "wackier" part.

so guys, ive been producing for about 7-8 months now. this is my newest tune in the works, at 171 bpm. it's a hip-hop drumstep crossover with darker vibes.LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK, please =)

@eyesic- work on your mixing man, alot of really high frequencies and its drowning out that kick. compress the kick for sure. once the drop hits, you got some sick sounds for sure man, but again mixing would really bring them to life and let them breathe. keep up the good work.

@kikaruu-don't here d'n'b in here too often, biggups! Some sick ass modulation you got going on here! excellent tune overall, maybe bring that kick out some and give it some decay. thats a reach though, good track overall.

@OJ1S-Not into that dungeon sound but your drums are really good. Work on your sound design a little, bring that bass to life.

Here is an update on mine, probably just going to redo the track as its taking a totally different direction.

well crow, since im on here and you gave me feedback, (=D) i enjoyed the tune itself, but some parts feel a bit broken. the build up, vocals, and second drop all feel a bit abrupt, but decent mixdown thats for sure. and i knew about the cluttered mids-highs in my tune, the problem should be fixed now though, thanks for the criticism.

@Rucker23 I dig this man good melody maybe a drop??

@Gaol Not really liking the sample its just me i guess just dont like that guys voice but the bassline is cool just switchs up in a weird way.

@Crow Steppa sounds cool id just say just maybe a tad more emphesis on your sound design to make the sounds bigger idk just personal opinion mix is well done though.
Here's a drumstep track im workin on Just a wip Final mixdown willremove the slight clip in the begining kick Thanks for the feedback most apreciative.
