@Antman - Loving the samples, Kind of reminds me of Gimme more rock by Super Mash Bros... Really like the groove(:

@Jetpack - Like it, The beginning reminds me of a song and i cant remember the name of it and it is KILLING ME. ..... FILTHY LUMMOX... thats it, the part before all the fart noises and stuff haha(:

@Cheeky - Love it, has kind of a mechanical vibe to it, sounds very metalic

Heres my latest WIP, obviously it's nowhere close to being finished... Garageband is the absolute worst program ever in the history of programs because when your editing on it the volume of each track sounds all good together but then when you convert it to itunes the volume of each track is WAY off... so the volume might sound uneven at times, its only because of my HORRIBLE software.

Ah sorry I didn't post any feedback for others, my bad

@The Jaft, really like the intro, has a nice feel to it. I like the change around 1:22 and 2:37 too.

@Zowski, sweet atmospheric intro, and unexpected bassline. Feeling it :)

@BaseBass, The lyrics are awesome haha :P Love it. Very hard drop too

@Cappa, Really like it already even though it's in early production, the bassline is hot :W:

Wish I could be more helpful and give suggestions but since i'm a noob at production I don't think it would be right lol

My WIP. Only 1/2 of the song and still needs to be mixed down properly etc. Tried going for the darker sound..

thanks man!

as for your track, overall i like your samples. the kick could use a little more beef, and try adding a small amount of reverb to the hats to liven them up a little. the rhythm of your beat is too cut and dry, at least for my taste. i would suggest adding some shuffle to your hats to move the beat along. also to place kicks around the snare that lead you into and out of that half step that the snare is on. don't know if any of this is making sense :? it's 0330 and my eyes are getting heavy.
i'll give a listen when i'm more awake to see if i missed anything..

@tom_ed sounds pretty cool. looking forward to seeing how the mixing works out and of course the second half of the track :)

@zowski some clever composition there, that ding sounds like a toaster oven haha. nice track though, sorry to hear about garageband being weak :(

@antman really like where this is going, keep it up. cool sample use for sure.

track is in my sig, added some delay and messed around with panning a bit as well as working on making the track a bit louder.

Thanks :) and yeah haha the ding is a toaster oven... I was looking for a elevator ding sound for a song I was working on a while ago and I couldn't find a good one, so went with a toaster oven because it sounds similar lol

@Zowski: I love the bro step vibe. Very aggressive, and although the volume went wack, it's still mixed well from what I can hear.
@Tom_ED: The vibe carries through well, and the atmosphere cuts through well. The kick seems like it's weak, or not cutting through the mix that well. It's a bit minimal for my taste, as I'd appreciate a more prominent melody/harmony. Just my opinion though.
@Difference: This track's use of space is AWESOME. The sub compliments the beat so well too. There are some percussive elements that add just the right amount of sparkle too! Liking this in a chill out type of mode. I do like the way the pad changes in the second part of the song. Adds novelty. At the end of the day, this style is minimalistic to me, and I feel I can't provide as critical feedback as you'd like.
@Jimbeaux: Sounds like you should craft more of a melody with the bass sounds in a rhythmic fashion rather than playing them straight for the first 8 bars. It gets more novel as the song progresses, however we're already used to hearing the sound. I recommend getting rhythmical with the sounds early on.

Ok so here is what i'm working on at the moment. The main thing I want to get feedback on is the idea of me having the chord stabs with the glitchy bass arrangement. So far I've been told that when the chords hit, they stand out too much for the bass sounds. In other words, having notes that high in pitch in a dubstep track that has grit and bass, stands out too much and therefore considered cheesy. Also he says the melody that the chords play is cheesy. I come from trance, and absolutely LOVE hearing open saw wave harmonics, and then come crashing down with some mid range bass tones. My friend says that they way I'm doing it doesn't work. If anyone can lend me their ears and thoughts on this, as this is the "style" i really want to flesh out, I'd be sincerely appreciative. Thanks DSF!

BTW...this is just a segment leading into the drop to give you and idea of the track.

@difference love the panning man really adds so sweet depth to the track.

@Jimbeaux i really like that high pitched siren-y thing made the drop more interesting imo

@Jet pack I really like your drums but the sub is a little too loud on my ears. Maybe some compression on the drums as a whole would blend together better, right now they just seem a bit too brash

I usually don't make deep but every now and then i like to make one just to refresh my brain from my normal style. Its a pretty rough mix down but i just wanted some feedback before pushing forward
Enjoy :)

@ehbrums - i like the piano in the intro, sample is farken cool, you need a lot more atmosphere in ya drop/main part of the track, the piano coming is not enough. try getting effects in there and maybe some very low key pads.... kick could do with a lil beef.

@toolman4 - love the drop, your production is very good, but your snare is getting drowned out by all the mid range, i would work on that for sure. also it would be nice to here something else rather than just a kick, snare, hi hats and midrange bass you get me?

@deffernce - nice melody in the intro, like the kick. very nice vibe after the drop, keep that up bro i dig your style, try turning the bass down a lil, it seem just a tad loud, snare could do with a lil work, maybe a il reberb

@Tom Ed - drums need a bit of beefing up, cool synth on intro. altho it drowns out the drums a lil. not really much of a drop, you really need to work on the drums, try find some better samples, and the bass line could do with some varation. fucken love the vibe thou

@zowski - mean intro, love all the sounds, sets the mood. very creative song bro, you need to work on your mix down, a lot of the mid range sounds are a different levels, sound a lil off. would work on the drums bit to bro.

here is my tune, have gone back to the dark sub driven sound.

@The Jaft - I would really phatten up that bassline a bit. I like the beat and the drums are fine too, except the snare - would love to hear it smash through a bit more. I love the synth in the background.

@darkdubz - This is some really nice chilled leaned back dubstep man! I dig this a lot, I honestly don't know how to improve this. :D

@ehbrums1 - Really nice tune, love the beat. Maybe you should change that kickdrums, doesn't sound very nice imo. I like the piano, though it could use a little fine tuning on the melody - Keep it up!

So heres mine. It is a Glitch Hop remix of Reign's Badman Sound I am working - This is my very first time playing around with Glitch Hop btw.

REVIEWING AS I LISTEN:

@Zowski: Intro is tasty... holy shit. Sounds like Duke Nukem / Jurassic Park. OK initial kick clipped for me. Intro is RIDICULOUS. Woahhh.. that shit is deeeep. What are you using for your synths? Massive? Love the *ding* you've got. The FX/Samples are tight. Think you could change up the bassline perhaps? I cannot BELIEVE that was done on Garageband. Get yourself Logic/Ableton .. now!

@Tom_ED - Snare is already weak, as is the kick, layer layer layer.. unless of course that's what you're going for. Groans are nice and dark. Drum sequencing needs changing up, getting kinda monotonous. The synth on the drop is causing my speakers to clip. Too much resonance, nice sound though. Very chilled. Drums need changing up a bit, and some variance. Nice vibe though.

@Difference - Nice chords already. Snare needs reverb imo. Chords are sweet though. Nice ambience. SUB! Yeah get some verb on the drums man, will make ALL the difference. Percussively it's ok, could do with some variation perhaps. Becomes a little monotonous. Needs a vocal perhaps or a lead line to spice it up a bit? Ambience is nice though for real.

@ehbrums1 - It's ok, but have you tried getting some swing on those drums? Reverb on the piano is nice, but the melody is lacking accompaniment and the velocities are kinda off on the notes, unless that's what you were going for..

@darkdubz - Nice dub chords to start. Great ambience so far... sweet delay on those stabs. Nice vocal, ooooooo tasty sub. Yeah like this a lot. Great verb on the clap/snare. Sitting very well. NIce mixdown on it too. What's the dude saying?:) Yeah I dig this massively. Go on my son! The sub is a ROLLER. Wavey.

@DubMikey - Cool something different :) (like my wip). Hmmm.. that kick is nice, how do you get the scratching effect? Is it jsut a reverse? Holy shit... that's some bass in your face. I think you could work on the melody. Lol is that a 50 cent sample? Shit actually I kinda like the lead melody, it's brutal. Wow this is a roller. Would skank hard to this. Nice nice nice.

-WIP-

Here's my current WIP. Went for something a bit different on this one. Used some old RNB vocals. What do you all think? (Wait til the drop at least). Thanks a lot in advance guys, always love hearing all your stuff. Inspiring. Take care :)
