I might give this one a miss to be honest. Not going to lie, systems about looking back more than forward to me, and drum n bass literally just doesnt exist in my 'back'. Always hated the pace for dancing. Bleugh, always the next one I guess. Gutted! Didnt think i was going to miss any of these.

I think I read somewhere it'll be a 140-170 set for one hour between VIVEKs roots intro session and closing set.

So, viveks on the roots warm up this time instead of the two blokes last time? Then amits having an hour, then back to vivek til close? Thats more tempting I must say. But still, I dunno...that minimix above is sooo dull. A couple of good vivek tracks in there, but vivek will probably play them anyway. I dunno, amits definitely not my cup of tea, and mala is the utter daddy. Dont want to sully system!

I got a feeling Amits gonna have a blinder of a set, I think him and Vivek must know that people are a bit disappointing by the choice, so i reckon he'll smash it

I said this all before in my long post after the first one, but for me, the most noticable change in atmosphere from DMZ to system (and i know its not a continuation of the same night, but with timing etc. its definitely the replacement of a certain area of the sound) was a change in vibe, from DMZ's constant pushing of hype hype and more hype (back when the sound needed it) with huge lineups, T-shirts, MC's and people constantly striving to push the freshest, biggest sound - into this foundation sounds night, where suddenly the global audience is already there this time, they dont need to push the night, they dont need big name line ups, theyre just going to turn up and play some tunes, old and new. I assume AMIT is just going to be pushing his sound, and funnily enough I really hope he doesnt try and create too much hype. Like, for me, DMZ = People going fucking mental about peoples new sounds/tunes, System = Standing nostalgicly in a room where the same tunes are getting dropped now as classics rather than total hype freshness.

Eugh, hard to explain. All i know is mala b2b vivek definitely had the vibe right, but I get the feeling it was more mala than vivek.

Ahhhhh im just gutted basically. Might still be going, a huge rig playing big tunes is still that, but im not sure it will have the vibe im after this time.

You know the difference now.

I didnt wear any at the first system and it was alright as it goes. 4/5 times had to take a step back out of the straight line of fire when it got a bit much, but generally thought it was alright. Preferred it with earplugs though.

Might as well still come Wiggle, you're only gonna kick yourself when we're all posting in here on sunday saying how sick it was!

It's the stomach churning bass that gets me not so much volume.
You can't block that with earplugs.

Yeah i probably will, was planning on coming down with a couple mates. Keep thinking I could just save the money now though...

I think i understand what you mean. I missed that whole era so i'm just going to hear good music. For me, I wont have heard lots of the older tunes on a system before so I guess it's completely different for me.

I found the system pretty ear friendly. If the Hi's make you blink then you should have earplugs, that's my method (not sure if it's right tho)

Anyway, either way I think im going now. Really not sure what to expect though!

Some additional questions @ ninjas though:

1) How would me and a couple mates go about getting ourselves back to victoria coach station straight after system finishes? Guessing the tube wont be running yet, but anyone know anythying about night buses? Or walking it? (is it miles?)

2) Failing option 1, is there any aftershindings happening that might be alright for 3 of us to hang at for an hour or two until the tube is running again?

3) Probably best done via pm...but if anyone has the ability to sort me out a bit of a certain lady named mandy it would be well appreciated. Gonna need it if its going above 140 bpm Not after much at all, but if anyone has the chance of grabbing an extra halfg or something I would refund monetarily with some extra beverage thrown in for good measure!
