Oh. Huh. Didn't know he used one! I've heard a lot of cool stuff from SP series users though. Even if people are just running there sounds through them.

For someone who has an ambient side project, blackdown's show is making it ever more clear I need to work on my synthesized pads. :lol:

I love watching something on ebay fly super under the radar and then snap it up for hardly anything 1 minute before the auction ends.

I got Sennheiser HD 595s for 50 bucks that way 8)

Although the opposite is equally true. Watching something be engulfed in a last minute bidding war is such a piss off. Especially when it's been really low the whole time.

Yeah I'm thinking last minute sniping on the bid might be in order.

It's the best way dude. You can monitor the bidding and see what everyone's top bid is and if and what they increase their bid by when they're outbid. The best is when you see two bids that are the same at the top because it means someone bid that amount but it was someone else's maximum bid entered earlier on which takes precedence. Now you know both max bids and that it's not gonna auto-bid above you. You can then bid 5 dollars over in the last 30 seconds and always sweep it.

It's the only way I buy shit online. Saves a bunch of bidding wars and usually guarantees you'll get the item if you want it.

Lost out on it in in end. Was 91.50 with 3mins to go, put in my max bid of 200, refreshed and it had gone to 202.50.

C'est la vie.

Eh, at least you made the fucker who beat you pay double than what he would have :lol:
The good thing about sniping is it's all about putting in the max you'd pay. People don't have time to get caught up and increase their bids. Dude obviously woulda paid even more than 202 so it worked out. You'll find another one.

I don't think announcing the line up really takes away from the event really.

UPDATE;

Just got this email;
You've been given a second chance to buy roland sp 303, which you placed a bid on for 200.0 on 2013-08-04 14:46:33.0.
Apparently the bloke who won then didn't buy it, so it came back to me. Just paid for it, albeit at my maximum bid, but got it in the end :Z:

Fucking ace. Love the second chance offer. I use it as a seller all the time.

Unrelated...who is still doing techno inspired dubstep. Listening to 2562 this morning...

That works. Working on a bit of a long droning deal with somewhat of a half time vibe...but the focus isnt on kick on one perc on three...just wanted some inspiration. Trying to keep an 8 minute track interesting. Id like to get into more of techno vibe any how. Never heard of this guy before but ill check him out

That's dope. If only you were dumb and put your max bid as 100 eh? :lol:
Or if only that guy wasn't a jackass and didn't bid wildly high on an item he couldn't afford. At least you got a second chance though. It'll seem that much sweeter because of the tribulations you had to go through to get it.

Yeah but if I'd put only 100 as my max then the price wouldn't have necessarily got up so high that the other guy couldn't afford it :lol:

Anyway, happy as a pig in shit that I'd finally got it :D
