Do you remember Alf Stewart from Home & Away?Harkat wrote:magma can you upload a pic of him

Spitting image.
I just had a bit of a rant which may have had a vaguely positive effect.

Ok, I got explicit about it since all my subtle hints kept getting taken as jokes and I think he's finally got the message. Bought cookies and donuts in case he was offended, though I'm fairly sure his skin's thick enough to resist teflon hollowpoints.

Me: Are you actually serious or winding me up?garethom wrote:Yeah, what did you say Mag?
Alf: Whatdya mean? Serious... why?
Me: Because I sit next to you for 8 hours a day and I can't think of anything worse than extending that period.
Alf: But it's not like I'd be coming round all the time or anything.
Me: No, you wouldn't.
Alf: *pause*
Me: Sorry, I mean, I don't socialise with *anyone* from work when I'm not at work. Ever. Bringing work into the sanctity of home is a fucking horrible idea.
Alf: *makes dodgy joke to rest of team to break tension*
It hasn't been discussed since, but he seems to not be going for the viewing now...

Re: The things that pissed you off today ™ thread
Even though one flat mate is a student, who rarely gets dressed, let alone leaves the house in my flat, I still had a missed parcel form through my door and the sorting office closes at 2pm (the fuck?)
Now I have to get up earlier to walk to that place before my shift at 7.30, take it into work and carry it home

One of the downsides of living in Tooting is the sorting office. It was the one they went undercover at for that Channel 4 documentary a few years back. Shocking queues halfway down the road, and they filmed some of the staff on the rob of packages whilst working there.
Enjoy
