I disagree it started establishing Carl as the protagonist as it's meant to be and combined some of the best arcs from the comics, though beginning of next season looks like it will be good.
It semi ended like the comics besides the language censorship

the show is slowly gettin with the comics with rick dominating and being nuts, i juust don't think they will be able to do negan with all the cursing
fuck the final scene on the show was the first time in the comics rick said fuck :they fucked with the wring people and they will pay" first time he curse in 100 issues and amc fucked it up
