@MRP5 - Fuck me that mix is nice! Very, very well done :D I use Ableton Live and use the built in instruments for sub bass. I seriously recommend it, although if Logic works for you then it works for you, right?

@notbellm - Like everyone else, I really like your track after the drop, but the keys at the start really need some work. You need a better keys sound, it sounds like the initial preset on Garageband. Maybe you could go all out on the classical front and throw in some strings and stuff. Check out Super Haze (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JW7UOwnq4_c) for inspiration. Keep working at it. Looking forward to seeing this finished :)

@eldoogle - need to work on the buildup :)
@T0X1K - for me the track didnt went anywere.
@nnny - great track but not to much dubstep :D
@MRP5 - fu*king great , just Epic track :ukking:
@sqwuabblesmynig - i like dubstep wobbly , so i couldnt wait untill the track starts wobbling . Think about putting it earlier :)

Ok hopefully i will get more feedbacks than before :) . My 2nd dubstep track i have ever made :).

@DJDayz - I like the track, but I reckon you need to work on making your stuff your own before working with other people's tracks. The intro is a little long, but I like where it goes. Your drums could be a little more varied than they are at the moment. Save the beat you have for a beat-down section (see Intro to Dubstep: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkYhneTczXo). Hi-hats would be a good idea too, there isn't much in the higher frequencies. Hope this helps, I can't really comment on mixing or mastering until the track's further towards being finished.

@Notbellm: Interesting sounds, production is really tight but I feel that things could have a bit more kick behind them, there dosnt appear to be much going on in the lower frequencies for extended periods of time.

@eldoogle: Same as Notbellms comment, things could just do with a little more meat and clarity.

@Bainsound: Quality percussion, its definitely your strengths got a real Mala vibe to it, perhaps a few elements could do with a bit more volume in the mix, that plucked string is really nice.

Heres my latest wall of sound, just a bunch of Ideas at the moment, I resampled an earlier WIP and this is its VIP.

No proper mixing or anything yet, just ideas

MRP5 - drums sounds awesomly vintage! love it..! mix is abit muddy at times i feel.. the drop was really nice! some original shit goin down! dosent feel "dubsteppy" but who cares im digging it :)

squabblemysig - hihats/rides bit too loud imo! loved everything at the drop xept for the YOYs shit sounds wonderfully detuned, work more with that ! :)

alexvont112 - loving the intro this far.. tho some frequencies were abit ear cutting! eq! :) drums sounds dope! wow that sub!! but i feel abit lack of energy i think you should try and introduce some more energy right when the sub kicks in.. second drop (or main drop maybe) stuff started to get interesting! i think introduce some more percussion bit earlier would give it more energy
last drop i think you should try silence before the drop instead of both rise and drum roll! would make much more impact
love the overall pads/atmosphere and melody!! keep working on it !

metsu - nice intro vibes!! diggin! the sample could benefit of higher volume and hihat bit lower tho but thats just personal taste!! wow after that drop. NICE STUFF!! reminds of some of Loefahs' music somehow. also i think the kick is too much reverb..! but so far this was really good!

nnny - beautiful!!! movie soundtrack next hehe :cornlol: not really feeling those kicks.. i say try and make all the drums implented somehow filtering and stuff!! and maybe a solid 4-4 beat would fit nicely i think. and some sub to this would be sweet. really relaxing tune!! keen on hearing finished version

Bainsound - totally digging the intro! really good dark vibes. drop also sweet ASS!!! this is the style of dubstep i just LOVE!! try variate your drum patterns more.. this shit is gonna be ILL when its finished!!
listening to your other wip: loving this aswell. same here tho variate your drums! :)
digging the dark vibes, im subbing to ur soundcloud!!

TOX1K - the mix is soooooo muddy in the intro. think the ride/tamb or what it is is whats making it. not feeling the bass its too much noisy!! drums sounds good, snares abit low tho!

eldoogle - mix sounds good ! not my style of dubstep but it sounds nice :) but wheres the sub?? -q- maybe its juwst my monitors but usually can hear the sub pretty okay

notbellm - not really feeling the main "bass" but those high resonated (i think) wobs sounds wicked,i cant put my finger on it but the piano parts felt abit stale somehow.. also the mixdown needs work!! :)

DJDayz - nice production. but how is it dubstep :spam: id say try not to make a dubstep tune out of that because imo, it didnt really work out... those basses seems to have nothing to do with anything.. the first part of the tune was good tho keep it at that rate and dont nessecerily make it 'dubstep' :) keep it up!

heres my latets wip threw some ideas down this "morning" over a cup o coffe, some cigarettes and some redbulls
hoping it delivers the feeling im aiming to the listener.. enjoy..
(the reverbd kick is abit too loud i already noticed :<)

Soundcloud

oh also!! i forgot i wanted to share this with u aswell!! yesterday when i made my last version of my tune "demon" i made another version of it aswell with the next hype acapella!! i thought it fitted pretty good so have a listen and tell me what u think about it! it was just a fun thing i thought!! hope you like it aswell!! :)

Least constructive feedback ever lmao...

Anyway, your track just doesn't go. Are the two parts even in key, follow the same root notes or even touch the same scales? Do they follow any musical theorem to make it sound like the same song?

Hey, new to this forum, thought I'd post a wip dubstep remix of a lady gaga tune here to hopefully get some constructive feedback :)
A bit short on time atm, but will try to feedback some of the above tunes later on as well.

^^^
lady gaga is absoluteley everything dubstep is not im usually open minded to remixes and shieate but please keep that to youtube youll get better response there. also the rules is to give at least 3 other people feedback first.

about ur tune. how did you figure ud use that "bassline" like dat? i cant see how it fits properly anywhere in the track
but production wise it sounds pretty ok i reckon
something weird going on with ur kick its all drenched in reverb??
and ur tune is more of a mashup.
the structure of the tune is very weird also, i dont get it, it just goes up and down and up down, confusing the listener. nothing hits really tight for me rhytmically. but mix sounds ok i think
im not a big fan of lady gaga but sure some of her tunes are listenable. and the original is so much more listenable than your remix

Hey.
In my defense I found it kinda fun with the culture collition with gaga and dubstep :)
Thanks for pointing out the reverbed kickdrum, I am quite new to producing in this genre so I am basically just trying out alot of stuff. This being my 2nd attempt at a dubstep tune, really.

And yeah, sorry for not abiding to the rules, will try to do so now, alltho I dunno how much my constructive criticism here will help. Most of the tunes here sounds awesome to me. :)

CenturySam: I like the crazyness and the darkness of it all, don't have much negative to say about it tbh.

Nacklewicket: Liked both of your tunes really, but loved Demons. Nice and headnoddingly chill vibe.

Origins: Awesome sound. If it's just a bunch of ideas I would love to hear it after arranging and that.

@nacklewicket - I love Be Skeptical :) Really similar to Burial's stuff. I love your drums, the little trills on the snare are awesome. A teensy bit more bass would be nice, but seriously just a little bit. Even just if your kick had a bit more subbyness to it that'd do. Apart from that I reckon it's pretty much done except maybe a few little mix tweaks and some overall EQ twiddlage and reverb. Good stuff. Your Tempa mashup sort of works, but I reckon your track is WAAAY too chilled for the lyrics. It makes me laugh. He's just going mental and the track's like 'Chill OUT man! Have a spliff and sit in a beanbag. Jeez...'

@Origins - I really like what you've got so far. It's kinda like Distance, but more dancey. You said it's just a bunch of ideas at the moment, so I don't know how much of the structure is intentional. I reckon a little more of an intro would be nice. Even just like, a couple of bars of echoey hi-hats would work. Really looking forward to hearing this more developed. I wish I could be more critical, but I quite like it as is. It sounds really professional.

I've changed my track a bit, but I've really hit a creative brick wall. HELP!

thnx mate yeah i also figured that its to much reverb on the kick, il get that sorted out. i wanted the hats to be kinda loud to give the track something special but you may be right about that too :P

Did this in about 2 hours this afternoon. Just jammed with the acapella. I like the vibe but I'll never develop it into a full tune.

MRP5: 'Smash that' - really great synth sounds. Dont personally love the distorted drum samples. Mix sounds really good too, high end really shines.

Alexvont`12 : Kit sounds a bit weak, snare does not do it for me either. Well automated synth and I like the high end sounds in there. Good subs. Drums need work!

Jakedubber : Snare is pretty nasty, but maybe thats what your going for. Mix needs some tweaking, some of the volumes jump a bit in the lead.

Metsu: Rotten Kebab sounds great. Bongos could come up in the mix I think. Will need a lot more variation if it is to be developed to the 4/5minute mark.

nnny : really like the pads. Maybe a little too soft/airy. I think when the claps come in you could introduce some other subtle percussive stuff too.

@ Origins - Very nice, with a good mixdown it'd sound even better. But theres not much of a melody to follow, so maybe work on that aspect? By melody I mean fluxuation of notes where the listener can follow.

@ Nacklewicket -> for the track 'be skeptical', solid tune, I like the atmosphere of the track, its one of those tracks that makes me miss having a car to cruise around listening to tunes in. Amazing what you can accomplish when you have some caffeine, smokes, and sugar water. And Rusko swears by it, too.

Also, I'm loving the next hype mashup :D:
