Cubicle- Awesome, wouldn't normally listen to something like this, im more of a happy melody type person by brain doesn't really work in these types of progressions and thats what kept me going. Overall this is sounds tits , maybe work on the percussion in the intro thats about it, very nice sounding bass btw.
Mekow- sounds pretty sicck. I would definitely work on the mix a bunch throw some other sounds in there, but its a wip so im sure theres more to come. Keep it up!
ideate- THis is fucking dope. Love the sounds in here, the overall song is organized and i cant really say much cus the production value here is top notch, would love to talk to you some time about some things

Heres a bigger clip of something ive been working on, still not sure if im going to take this anywhere .. :?:

*Disclaimer*Laptop speakers I'm afraid, so no critical production analysis is forthcoming, sorry guys but my music PC ain't connected to the internet.

MRP5: Love the intro man, loads going on, but well balanced. As they would say on masterchef, it's got the real depth of flavour. The drop is interesting, it just comes out of nowhere, I kinda like that but I feel like you should either hint at whats coming a little bit more or use that as an intro for an even phatter drop. Not entirely sure about the main noise, it works but it's a bit whiney for my taste, but thats just preference I suppose. Good work though I like the tune a lot!

Filthy: I love the bell sounds and the atmos, they are awesome, not sure about that cheesy lead though. Drums sound good, bass sounds gnarly and menacing without being to brotacular. If you lost that cheeeeesy lead synth and replaced it maybe with some haunting sounding strings you could have a really decent atmospheric filthy tune. I like the vibe though.

FluidMoShun: Funkay!! I like the feeling of it, the sliceyness of the instruments is properly up my street. I would give the beats much more of a glitchy feel though. Get some squeaks and clicks and pops and I'm in heaven, good track!

Fatach: Not really my cup of tea but its got some potential, I will say that your noises sound a little simple, just mess around a bit more with some effects and some other synth bits and it makes such a difference.

Rrrright, this is gonna be my entry to the don goliath remix competition, I'm pretty much done but I thought I'd run it past the forum to see what people thought before I send it off.

EDN- I've never heard the original, but this is a real nice mix man no complaints :)

MRP5- really digging this track, definitely finish it. Real nice percussion.

Fatach- you can post your finished tracks in the Dubs section I think.
On the second I'm really digging the sound you have but at some points it seems kind of repetitive imo but its a real nice track overall

Cubicle- top notch production man. Not my usual style but it's very well produced :)

Ok, I've taken quite a long break it seems life has been busy and to make it worse my puppy decided to leave me a gift...I came home from work to find my headphones in pieces :( so I'm currently using my guitar amp rigged up to my laptop lol. It's ghetto but getting the job done till I can get some more.

I really don't know if you could call this dubstep or not maybe brostep >.< lol my levels are probably pretty jank and I might need to add more sub its hard to tell atm any feedback is highly appreciated.

coreyy i can see what your going for, but it just doesnt exactly go together. like you said though you need to go back and work on getting the levels right.

edn- that sounds good man, only thing is the vocals might be a tadddd low? might be my speakers if so disregard

mrp5- dank. basically. i mean i cant find anything i dont like honestly.

just got moved into a new house so havent been able to work on a whole lot

the house is crawling with ladybugs. not really bad but whatever.

Corygoes rawr-mix was flat nothing at all really popped out. brostep ain't really my thang so I won't comment on the musicality aspect but is definitely sounded like your synths needed some reworking

oprs-the first song had way to much reverb on those synths, whic made them feel real very air with no punch all and made the song feel empty. snare was super weak, as a whole the song just didn't have any dynamics
the second tune had a lot of empty space as well. you cant just lose the beat every time the mc starts goin.

heres my wip struggled with this one, but I struggle with them all so w/e

With Mustache March quickly approaching I decided to diligently work on a track throughout the month of February to celebrate this joyous occasion. But we'll get to that later. Time for the feedback.

@RightOnTime27
Really lovin this track man. The sub hits hard. Perhaps a little too hard? Maybe bring it down just a smidge but other than that I loved the tune. Got me bobbin

@oprs
I really like the intro and the in and out pan you've got going on. The track has a nice grimy and dirty feel. I'm not sold on that main bass yet. I think you could tweak it a bit to make it stand out a bit more. There's also a few claps around 2:55 and again around 3:15 that sound kinda cheap. Overall good stuff.

@CoreyGoesRawr
I like the switch from happy to dark but it kinda loses me when it focuses more on the happy towards the end. I stopped enjoying the track cuz It lasted way too long. Also that bass is really fat in tone. It could use some sharpening up. The sub could also stand to come up a bit too.

As for my shit, I exported it without changing where the end of the track marker was and so there's a huge silence on the end. :corntard:
This is only half but I'd like to hear some feedback at this point considering I'd like to have it done by the 1st of March. Thanks in advance.

@Malleus - Really love the deep vibe , good wobble sounds, the track moves along nicely. i would definitely fine tune the mix and give it more presence. Good job tho! :D

@CoreyGoesRawr - Not really diggin the singing and such, but the heavier parts in the song are sick. I would venture into doing something straight dark shit with the way this sounds.

@MRP5 - lovely mix, good array of sounds for wobbles and such. what daw are you using? sounds very nice.

Here is something i been workin on, still just trying to learn to mix right and have a proper song flow....

@circuitbored: Nice name! :D Anyway, I love the arpeggio beginning, and your percussion is nice, too. And the drop? Sweeeeet. The basses fit this song well, and I love the rate at which you switch between them. But, I think a break is in order sooner than later. That's just me, though. The second verse (bridge?) seems almost out of place, though.

@Malleus: Seems like a tad bit too much reverb. I like the flow, though. It's pretty traditional and laid back.

@RightOnTime27: Chill. I like the part starting at 1.16, what with the bass and all. The drop seems slightly behind time, though. Oh, and add more delay and reverb! At least, I'm envisioning a soundscape type deal, you know? With samples and instruments gliding in and out of the mix even further. I look forward to the completed version.

@CoreyGoesRawr: Nice intro, I have to say. But everything else doesn't fit it; the track pops from nowhere. I like the intent, but there are issues; where's your treble? :D Gotta have treble, mate! Shame about your headphones; hope you can find another pair soon.

I'll just leave this unfinished remix of Swagga right here... there can never be too many remixes of this song. I'm trying to focus on varying synths, cutting and pasting up tracks, replicating heard sounds, and remixing without proper stems/tracks. Please tell me what you think!

Kikaruu:
I thought it was awesome. Simply awesome. Really good job, man! Creative way of remixing it and the production is perfect.
circuitbored:
Cool tune. A lot of cool bass sounds here. In my opinion 2.11 - 2.20 is a bit too quiet. The vocal sample after that and the last drop was really cool tho :)
Malleus:
Would turn the reverb down a bit. Not loose it entirely but it's a whole lot now. I think the groove is really cool both before and after the drop. Love the drums in the intro, both the sound and the pattern :)

My first go at Ableton;
Soundcloud
Seeing as I am new and clueless to Ableton it isn't proper mixed at all yet, so might be an idea to turn up the volume slightly when listening.

Yeah lol.
I like that people pick up on that! I'm pretty heavily influenced by Broken Note's drum styles and I try and get the kick triplets in wherever I can.

@Malleus - Love the mixing on this track mate. Proper wonky tongue-in-cheek dubstep :D Everything works really well together. Not much else to say about it really.
@kikaruu - EPIC, You've done a good job of this remix mate considering you didn't have stems. Bloody filthy.
@FRasch - For a first go at Ableton you've got everything sounding very well together, if you keep up this pace up you'll be making some fantastically produced tracks in no time.

Hi guys, thanks to time off work and your fantastic advice I have reworked this track further - sorted out all my subs - changed the structure to that of a more conventional DJ-able song - added some FX - remastered.
It finally feels like it is complete to me. Your thoughts?

@MRP5: Really digging this track mate! Was bumpin this in my car last night haha
@EDN: Not bad mate, my only thing is, is seems like the track as a whole needs to be brought up in volume, my guess is you haven't started mastering the overall track? Anyways, looking forward to the final product!
@CoreyGoesRawr: nice work with the glitch vst haha I liked how you had everything at the end, the middle stuff was meh for me.
@RightOnTime27: Loving the flute you used! Diggin the chill vibe for sure :)
@Malleus: hahahah "I kinda like your mustache!" Love it!
@FRasch: Not bad at all for being your first go with a diff DAW, keep it up!
@ideate: All I have to say about this track is I WANT IT!!! haha

Put this together real quick at 2am (Only Perc and Piano):
Soundcloud

Few things that got me stuck last night on this and made me just go to bed were:
-Not sure what to do with the bassline (if i have one at all)
-Should I have the piano notes be minimal and add more later on for some sort of build up? (hope that makes sense)

EDN - Woah, killer track. If I had to pick something out it would be the downsampling on that talking/yey-type hit. Just sounds slightly harsh to me, and doesn't sit as perfectly as the rest of the mix.

kikaruu - very nice, at times it loses its edge when everything comes together (maybe a clipping issue? or maybe my headphones just ain't doing it). very solid remix though

circuitbored - the intro arpeggio is nice but goes on slightly too long IMO, even something like a fade/reverb in would help but that's just me. nice drop, nice basslines, I especially like the subtle gory death sounds sampled here and there.

RightOnTime27 - loving the ambient intro, the texture, and all. the drop is nice and chill. I love the "blip" sound when the beat hits but after that it seems to come in differently and more randomly; same with that flute sound -- after a while it seems like it's just coming in at random and the groove is lost a little. really digging this track though, can't wait to hear it finished.

This is my first finished dubstep track, although it still could do with a lot more work. Feedback would be great, especially on all the basic stuff -- it's all new to me!

@Ideate :o Jesus christ. Your tune is INSANITY & yes, it is complete.

@Nicorsone Pretty sweet has LOADS of potential. Nothing I can complain about. Add some more and ill see if I can be a nitpicky jerk =D

@FRasch Monster. This is sick. I love wayne and your track makes me like it even more. Like you said I did have to put up my volume but im sure youll sort that out. Nice work.

Anyway heres my third track(Thats actually going somewhere) Ive been trying really hard to watch as many tutorials as possible on various stuff about producing, dubstep drum samples and all types of crap. Lemme know what you guys think of what ive got so far and if you have any ideas on where I should go with this or anything I should change. Thanks guys =D

@mattdeal - Love the intro, really great use of subtle samples. I think your sub needs to be a bit lower. Your lowest note is around the right place, try to octave down the other notes and see how that sounds. I really like the shuffley drums, I think some more hand percussiony beats in the background would be nice. A regular 2 and 4 ride would be cool too. Excellent for your first track man.

@NICORISONE - I always love your stuff man. This is awesome. I think the piano could come down in the mix, and maybe be a little less compressed (if it is). You could drop into something really heavy from there, or keep it nice and mellow. Really nice start.

@ideate - This is freaking awesome man. Not much I can say that needs changing. I love the drums, really original. Can't wait for a download link :)

I've really changed this track. I've gone in a more hardcore bass direction, as opposed to chilled and nice. I already have some changes in mind, but let me know what you think.
