not a massive autechre fan but their remixes of skeng are pretty good as is some of their earlier less wtf boring noodly max/msp stuff - cannot get into the confield style stuff at all.

on the subject of ambient not really into boards of canada either from the little i've heard...

this is the best 'dark' ambient i've ever heard:

...lol

Some of Burzum's music is actually pretty good. Shame it's over shadowed by his exploits really.

the word and term 'hero' gets branded too much nowadays. Not every soldier or athlete that ever existed is a hero.

i hate when people say that the music they play/love is "ambient"

Seriously though, I can't stand people who describe their music as "beautiful and emotionally complex sonic journeys", or those who consider "idm" the only thing worth listening to, as everything else is somehow inferior.

I hate motherfuckers that when you show them a kind of music that they don´t use to listen they try to categorize it instead of listening . Also people that don´t show respect to traditional musics just because they are old and not cool.

i hate motherfuckers who think listening to abstract music and sounds is weird... pretentious people all over the world pretend to like abstract paintings, it's an apparent sign of modern intelligence to have an appreciation of that stuff, so why is it different for sound, a medium much more immersive? r u dum?

not an unpopular opinion but what is up with that?

I have an annoying friend who does this a lot and refuses to give the music an open-minded chance

Haha, in a lot of cases it's actually not.

This. There's some really creative and INTERESTING music when people aren't encumbered by a drum structure they're trying to work to.
