Ahh ok cheers, nothing special though imo.
But not what Wub posted either. It was like instrumental grime or something.

Zomby's jungle sounds like grime in a funny way. They aren't as intricate as the real old skool jungle shit, they're mostly loops, but they have that repeating, edgy melodic element that that grime has.

yeah completely agree.

another term could be 'insisting' or unrelentingly naive like eurodance or deliberately 'cheap'. which is what i love about someone like bogdan raczynski or sometimes aphex like on the richard james ep

i personally need jungle to be eithger authentic with how its produced or a bit more meta like shitmat or soundmurderer. imo this sounds white which in itself is bad in music lol

Not feeling a grime release, especially an Eski influenced; I've gone back and heard so much of it, it's difficult to get excited about. The jungle stuff is bland as, best jungle track he ever did was Hench.

I know he's developed a pretty strong Twitter following now, and maybe has a new crowd of young uns in tow, but I doubt he can rekindle the aura that surrounded his work past 2011. Think there were about 5 decent tracks on With Love, but the Blueberry Cheese, Aquarium, The Abyss Gaze, Dynamite Sandwich - stunning backlog but I fail to see how he can move forward as an artist of relevance as time goes on.

i can think of one tune i'd actually listen to from with love, it's the one called horrid.

the zomby eski mixes that dusk & blackdown did were dope, i'd love to hear some more, or an album or ep of it.

i think that now he's quite comfortable with just doing 1 minute tracks, shitty jungle tunes and talking shit on twitter. like the guy above me said, i doubt he'll ever get that crazy mystical druggy aura around his tunes like he did in the past (for me anyway), things have changed, the musical landscape has changed, he's changed and most people just think he's a prick anyway.
