Re: System June 23rd
Big!
Lots of problems, the system wasn't having a great day, but it still doesn't stop it being a big ole night. By the end it seemed like the sub amps were cutting out if they cranked it at all, and had the volume way down. Bit of a pity, but again, its not something theyve had long and id like to think theyll get teething problems sorted out soon enough! First half of amit I thought was huge, but I wasnt so much a fan of the dnb. Meh, each to their own.
Person highlight was after a 5/10 min vibe down patch when the bouncer had suddenly got on taking spliffs off people, vivek drops Burnin'. Big things, the timing smashed it...loved it
Personal bummer was the system cutting out for the final time juuust before the second drop of cuba electronica! ha, just got to laugh really, no sense in doing anything else!
Missing a little something without mala. Vivek did well though, return 2 space was awesome...
Roll on more of them! Always going to be a bit of a bumpy journey. Still the biggest night around though! Goes to show...
Oh yeah, and the version of asteroids with the female vocal over it was siiiiiiiick!!

Already said on Facebook but once again apologies to any ninjas I may have borderline assaulted when Bobs pillow came out haha.
I have loads of film even some of Vivek wanting to knock some guy out for shouting one more tune at him!
What was that warrior queen song? I mean I'm pretty sure it was her on the vocals atleast, regardless that came on at a damn good time! Perked me right up!

Really? Yikes I was more shot away than I thought!
Re: System June 23rd
Yeah, definitely Poison Dart. I had a bit of a brainspaz at that point.. pretty sure that's where I lost my voice!
If it sounds beautiful, looks beautiful and smells beautiful its probably System. Nice work Ninjas.

Amazing night, even if my mates thought otherwise; each to their own I guess haha
Apologies to the few people around the stack that I nearly knocked over when Burnin' dropped, went a bit Hatman-y for a few seconds then
I need to go next System to atleast hear that Asteroids vocal again though, such vibes were never felt before

On the train back up the road. I'm a fucking mess, I feel bad for the folk that have to sit beside me for the next 4 hours.
Stand against war was a highlight. Burnin' and poison dart were also massive.
Gutted my last joint got bounced, proper DEA weed crack down in the last hour
was bound to happy at some point though.
Big up Oli for having riddles and ,I even though you couldnt reach
Out to all the ninjas I met too man, not laughed that hard in a looooong time. Definitely need to come through again.

Don't hurt as much as I thought I would, considering how much beer I consumed. Plus that ill advised 90min Jaeger binge during the football
Was proper jokes, face aches today from laughing/grinning so much.
For my last night out in this country for a while, couldn't have wished for a better send off session

+1 on the send off vibes. LA won't bring nights like those even if they do get the likes of the Mystikz for a one off gig. Funktion One systems will never compare to those like last night and at DMZ Leeds.wub wrote:Don't hurt as much as I thought I would, considering how much beer I consumed. Most of all tho I won't feel those vibes like I did last night. Walked in with VIVEK on the door greeting people which was kinda nice to see and was instantly hugged by the Dub being rinsed out along with the place smelling very environmentally friendly! Shame i've quit! I would of loved to bun down a few spliffs last night.
That first dubstep tune that Amit played (anyone know what that was?) before the system cut that first time absolutely knocked me over. Maybe it was where I was stood or the acoustics of the room but their system can definitely rival that of the Iration Rig for me.
Take it the last tune was another off the Cuba album? Really thought it would of been Calle F though a I clocked that whatever that tune was, was on the flip of Cuba Electronica. Gutted we didnt get that 2nd drop!
